Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThere was no internet in our room, just at the lobby and the parking is far away( a block and a half), but it was free, so that made it ok.
The staff is very friendly and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome, the room was comfortable and very clean. It had a sofa bed and two queen beds which made it very nice for us 5. They give you complimentary cookies and coffee which our girls looked forward to. They have a beautiful well behaved and very friendly dog named Patrick and we all fell in love with him, he will greet us every time we came back and made us feel at home.

United StatesLoved it all!
Loved this beautiful hotel. We had the private double room with 2 balconies. Giant room with a great view! The staff was so helpful and sweet. We were able to bring our little dog Ziggy and he loved frisking around the lobby with the house dog, Patrick. A basic breakfast was included in the historic kitchen and there were so many large areas to hang out and relax in. Great location and economical--- I would enjoy staying there for months!

United StatesWhat would have been nice was to have a small fridge and microwave to be able to save our left overs from all of the delicious meals out.
It felt like staying in your own Mexican mansion from olden times. It felt like home because we were able to use the open living space in the patio areas as a great place to welcome our guests, gather, eat, and be more comfortable than being in our rooms. It also was an extra bonus to have extra restrooms in the patios for our visitors to use instead of our hotel rooms. Staff was all very friendly and welcoming, and the dog Patrick adopted us as his family immediately. :)

United StatesThe property is beautiful and well run. Our bed could have been a little softer but we slept well. The cathedral next door has bells ringing so if that is not your thing, ask for an interior room.
The building is located close to all the plazas and cathedrals in central Durango. We found several great museums and eateries within walking distance and the weekend we were there there was an antique car show around the corner with American muscle cars, classic trucks and race cars from the Panamerican tour. The interior of the hotel is filled with antiques and artwork. There is a friendly dog on the premise that loved to cuddle on the sofa and that my dog was smitten with. We had a king bed and a jacuzzi tub in our room which was unique. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. In fact, the locals were all so friendly and welcoming. The went out of their way to chat with us. The Central Market was walking distance as well and we enjoyed seeing all the interesting foods and crafts. Of course, there were scorpions everywhere… not loose but it is a major theme in Durango.

United StatesThe WiFi in my bedroom was pretty poor, but was strong enough in the kitchen area. Unfortunately, the room that I had (#7, upstairs in the front) caught a lot (and I mean a Lot) of street noise. The evening, and esp. weekend, street rallies got very intrusive. Getting a room in the back would be the best idea.
The Staff was excellent. Ass't Manager Anna Luisa went above and beyond to help me arrange grooming for my dog and service for my car. Cannot say enough about how grateful I am. And Marie Cruz and Hector we're unfailingly helping and pleasant. The location is great for wandering the city, and has multiple restaurants to try. Chavata's burger cart is good for a little late dinner.
