The room was so small, it was hard to do yoga. The bathroom floor was about 4" higher than the main floor and for the first day or two, I kept tripping.

The price was good and the location, in the heart of the Historic District was great. The room was pretty small but comfortable.

Location is great Staff is good and accommodating Front desk speaks English Credit card machine was not working at the restaurant down the street and the hotel helped me exchange money and get me out of a jam They give you two bottles of water every day

The room safe didn't work. The sink in the bathroom was a little wonky (slightly off it's base, but everything still worked). The room windows didn't lock properly, but it would've taken a particularly acrobatic person to gain access, so I wasn't too worried about that.

The staff was friendly and did speak English when I was clearly struggling with Spanish. The room was on the small side (but I had opted for one of the cheaper, interior facing rooms--there are much larger rooms available). The bed was comfortable and housekeeping was very thorough. The AC worked well. Having an interior facing room meant that I didn't hear much of the noise from the street which is considerable in that area. The neighborhood felt safe and there is significant police presence since it's such a popular area.

The location is great because it is only 2 blocks away from the zocalo, but I do not recommend it if you will walk alone at night and you are a women. We heard a woman scream for 30 seconds to 1 minute around 11PM, then we heard the police. We do not know what happened. You can also hear the cars and garbage trucks coming around 2AM to pick up the trash and they play loud music. Nothing the hotel can do about. Overall, it was a nice stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at El Roble. The beds were comfortable. We did not have much of a view and I wish the bathroom had a shower cup, more soap, a towel to dry our hands, etc. But we got what we paid for. The rooms were very clean too.

Hotel Roble is centrally located and only 2 minutes walking distance from Zocalo square. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Rooms on the second floor are better than rooms on the third floor. Restaurant is good as well.

rooms are a tad bit small but it doesn't matter if you are walking all over the city and out and about all day. The room had everything we needed. AC and a fan and clean bathroom so I would stay here again.

Double sized bed may be small for those used to queen or bigger. Some noise from central air shaft but largely minimized by keeping bathroom door shut.

Nice small size hotel near to the zocalo in Mexico City. Room was kept clean daily. Shower was great, lots of hot water and decent head. I used the restaurant several times for breakfast. TV with local channels and AC supplied. Bed was comfortable for one.

A very nice hotel in the middle of the old downtown, walking distance to many landmarks and museums. It was Dia de los Muertes, so there was street noise, but it was easily masked by the ceiling fan. Room simple, but well-priced, a good size, comfortable and clean; water was provided every day. Good communication with the desk despite my English-only, and they can arrange a fast and very economical ride to the airport.

Nothing to dislike about. For the cheap price I paid, it is decent.

The area is situated at the very center of the city. Clean and comfortable enough to sleep in. Staff are friendly.

Room was somber, with very little natural night. Not being on the street made it mostly quiet, except for a loud fight in a neighboring room in the middle of the night that kept me awake for an hour..
