Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe stayed in a “partial ocean view king” because the ocean kings were booked, and we did pay up for this room. We were right over the restaurant that serves dinner and breakfast so there was definitely some noise, plus the beautiful sliding door window and the deck are shared, you’re looking directly into the room across the deck from your bed so we pretty much had to keep the room shut up at all times and it did not feel private at all. Also we had a leaky toilet that would cycle through every 20 minutes and definitely kept us awake at night. They tried to fix twice unsuccessfully then couldn’t move us to an equal or better room and didn’t offer us anything for our troubles. Sort of disappointing and for sure a damper on the r&r. The “free coffee” in the morning is just flat out not very good and frequently runs out with a long wait, but I did bond with several guests over this at the percolator :) They should get another percolator to prevent the wait and also figure out the right ratio to make it consistent and good. We also think bc of price and more isolated location that breakfast should be included in this hotel, it would have made me feel better about its value.
It is an absolutely stunning hotel with incredible staff. Location is lovely on a gorgeous beach with a beautiful hike right next door. Can’t say enough about how clean it is, five star housekeeping with super luxe bedding. Every employee is so friendly and attentive. You’ll definitely want to rent a car to get there (safe easy drive from Cabo) as it’s a few miles to town on a busy road and there’s nothing else around the hotel. Onsite restaurants are tasty but pretty small portions and expensive so if you’re there more than a couple days you’ll probably want to try other options too. One tip they don’t tell you at checkin is they offer coolers, beach umbrellas and beach towels for any adventures at the beach from concierge, we took them every day to explore a different spot in the area or even right out front. It’s expensive esp for Mexico but a really fantastic place with impeccable yet casual design.

United StatesNot one issue to report. This place is absolutely worth the prices.
HSC is 100% worth every penny. The views, the food, the atmosphere? All perfect. Brian and Ivan were fantastic ambassadors for the hotel as well with recommendations, suggestions and tour arrangements. Courteous, kind, welcoming and ever-present; each member of the hotel staff made my wife's and my stay absolutely amazing. The amenities, restaurants and grounds (desert gardens are stunning, btw) were all stunning. We will most certainly be back. Thanks HSC!

AustraliaIt’s a beautiful hotel however it is expensive and for the price you pay you would expect something like a basic breakfast to be included.
The location, the food and staff were great. The farm to table restaurant out the back and the little coffee station was amazing.

United StatesHighly, highly highly recommend staying here! Hotel San Cristobal is AMAZING. By far one of the most amazing experiences. We stayed in an ocean-view room which was so relaxing. We woke up and went to sleep to the sounds of waves crashing onto the shore (the hotel is right on the beach). The rooms were extremely clean and well-kept. There wasn't a TV in our room which was great because it forced us to be out relaxing next to the pool with a drink in hand. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and fun. We got to know a few of them and had great conversations and tons of laughs. They were attentive throughout our entire stay making sure we had everything we needed. They were the best. Thank you to them for a memorable stay! The food was out of this world good. The hotel has three restaurants offering fresh, farm-to-table food. Try as much food there as you can. You will not be disappointed!

United StatesI loved literally everything
This property is absolutely beautiful, thoughtfully decorated with special, well thought out details. I loved the emerald green tile in the pool. This is an excellent place to stay for a person, couple or group who appreciate aesthetic and attention to detail. The service was excellent as well. All of the servers and staff we encountered were friendly, courteous, thoughtful and always ready to help. It is definitely well worth having dinner here in addition to just snacking by the pool. All of the food we ate was delicious and special. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Todos Santos.

United StatesGetting additional drinking water was not as simple as it could be. The shower can sometimes acts like there is no hot water for longer than you’d expect. Also the beds are pretty firm which I know can be uncomfortable for some people.
The location, the food, the pool and the beach are all incredible. I was able to easily jump in the ocean for a quick swim then jump in the pool. There are awesome hiking trails right next to the property. The food at both restaurants is really really good. Todos Santos is also a fun town. We will for sure be coming back soon.

United StatesWhile we enjoyed our stay, the property is pretty remote. It was great for catching up with my girlfriends but I think people need to know that you can't walk to anything and Todos Santos is still pretty small.
The hotel was in a beautiful setting and the staff was so welcoming and attentive. We took advantage of the morning hike, afternoon sound bath and yoga mats. I loved that the pool was open 24/7 and very warm. Had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it for people looking for a quite retreat.

United StatesTransportation is tough in Todos because they have a very limited number of taxi's. I wish the hotel offered some sort of shuttle service into town.
We loved our stay at Hotel San Cristobal! The overall atmosphere and vibe was incredible. The pool was so nice and warm and we were able to swim while watching whales in the ocean! The hotel offered a guided hike our first day and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We loved that there were hiking trails just off the resort with gorgeous views of the mountains, sea lion cliffs and the town of Todos Santos. The drinks and food at the resort were amazing! We chose to eat here for breakfast every morning and a couple dinners because it was so good.
