Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNever enough towels. The staff would take them when they cleaned the room, daily, and not replace them. I had to steal them off of the cart in hallway. The other annoyance was our AC would shut itself off in the middle of the night. We had to flip the breaker box in the room to kickstart it again.
The absolute best thing about this property is the rooftop pool. It’s the largest one in town, and makes a great big giant U shape, facing the ocean. There is a pool that has warm water with some jets, a cooler pool, a 3-inch deep pool for lounging in the shallows, and another pool that’s about chest-deep/ shallow. (No deep end in any pool). There is even shade in the pool in spots when you’re sunned-out. There are plenty of lounger beds, cushions and pillows, beach loungers, tables and chairs in shade. Not quite enough umbrellas for my liking because I could never get one. However, it was very quiet, never felt crowded, and extremely relaxing and therapeutic.

AustraliaIt would have been nice to have complimentary water supplied. Also, there was no music at the rooftop pool / bar, and the food menu was limited. We ordered nachos and the cheese was not fresh (just sauce). Best to eat at local restaurants instead.
The rooftop pool is amazing, the rooms are spacious and modern, and the shower and kitchenette were beautiful. It was also amazing to have a car park space that was secure. Loved the location too - a bit of a walk to the center of the tourist part but being North of Playa was actually much nicer and there was a great locals only vibe with nice restaurants and a great atmosphere.

United StatesThe room was great, with the exception that the lock-off room was only separated by a single thin door. This means that sounds easily travel between units. Also, there was no eye hole in the door to the unit. Therefore, there was no way to know who was knocking on the door without asking or opening it to see. One other thing is that the hotel uses physical keys, and many of the key holes are damaged.
Great location, great view, great balcony, great kitchen, great facilities, great pools, great value.

CanadaThe Cons (ish, 1st world problems right?) Our condo slept 5 but had living room seating for 2, 3 if we snuggled. The bedrooms were small in size, there was about 18 inches between the walls and the bed, mattresses were adequate, not enough pillows. We booked the 2 bed as it advertised 1 extra large bed and 1 double bed but there were only 2 doubles in the unit. The noise between condos is quite loud, there were kids staying next to us and you could hear them all the time. The kitchen needed a bit of equipment. Sharp knife but no cutting board, coffee maker but provided mugs didn't fit under the spout, 3 glasses for 5 people that sort of thing. Dish soap provided but no towel or drying board. A drying rack for towels also would have been a blessing with only 1 hook in the bath needed for bath towels there is no room for pool towels or swimsuits to dry. Wifi in the building is very slow, we found it difficult to look up info or book tours it was so slow. We used it as a time to unwind but you're not working from here if you're a digital nomad. The pros far outweigh the cons and we'd stay at Singular Dreams again if we were to return to Playa del Carmen.
The Pros Great location, just steps from 5th and 38th, but quiet. One block to the beach and a safe neighbourhood. Walkable to everything you want in Playa. Condo was beautiful, awesome view, clean and had air conditioning if that's your thing. We took a 2 bed, 2 bath and we're very happy with the condo itself. Kitchen had a small stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster and the basics. Marble floors, tiled baths, all in good working order. Bath amenities, towels and pool towels provided was nice. It's our understanding that the complex is fairly new and that showed. Rooftop pool area was absolutely beautiful. It's actually 3 pools, with a plunge pool and wading pool, a lap pool and a hot pool. Sun, shade all available both in and out of the pool. Lots of chairs and umbrellas, as well as a bar and restaurant. Staff in reception, cleaning and the bar area were very helpful and friendly.

United StatesI'm not sure if all regular rooms are like this, but we didn't have a window. Well, it was a "window" that didn't open & faced internally into the building so we couldn't see outside or what the weather was like.... Also, our room was right next to what I think was a room for the cleaning crew. They would loudly slam the door to that room early in the mornings, so just make sure you don't get this room :). If I would stay here again I would pay extra for a larger room. We had the deluxe room.
Location is great - walking distance to the beach & not right on Quinta Avenida, so it's quiet. Rooftop is wonderful - 3 pools - 1 is heated with jets. You can purchase drinks & some food on the roof. Room was super clean. Modern building. Hot water (but never got super hot if that's your thing). AC worked great. Comfy bed. We also had a minor thing break in the room, and it was fixed immediately.

BrazilThe room was amazing, however, we had some problems with staff and maintenance. There was a water drop over the toilet, and they did not fix it, making uncomfortable to use the toilet. Besides, they do offer a very well furnished kitchen, but if we arrive late, there is no water in the room or any other place in the residences. The price booked for the room in the Booking system do not match with the one they charge in the check-in, even the booking stated that the price had already included all taxes.

Trinidad and TobagoStaff was a bit unprofessional and mostly young so maybe that's why... We asked for a couple of things a few times and either had a very long wait time (bathroom towels) or just didn't get it (iron in the room) Breakfast is served from 8am-12 noon and most tours leave before that because of the distances so it makes no sense and one of the days staff was late an breakfast was served from 930am with no apologies or explanation...everyone who was waiting just left and went to buy food

IsraelThere a lot, and i mean A LOT of stairs to enter the hotel and theres no elevator or someone to help , so if you're with a lot of luggage thats something to consider. There was a used cup in the microwave and a pot with dried pasta in it. The pool bar is a nice idea but it doesnt have a menu so you just either need to ask for everything and it cost or just wonder whats going to be on the bill. The location is 5 minute walk from the tourist street walk but to the main beach and plaza ( the ones near the ferries) its 30-40 min walk , its nice the street you walk on since its turistic and bars and shops but its still 30-40min in the heat so just know. The taxis from ADO take 200 pesos for the ride. To ADO we got the hotel to order us and it costed 150.
The room is exactly as in the pictures. Very big and very nice. 2 TVs in bedroom and living room. Mini terrace to the inside of the building to dry your clothes . 3 different pools on the rooftop + one for kids. One of the pools really heated and has jets and sitting places inside. Theres a free laundry machines and driers for your personal use, which is really nice and pretty rare through our stays in Mexico. You can even use couple of them simultaneously if you have a lot or different (white/dark) loads. The bed is increadibly huge.
