Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United States-Lack of information about food suitable for vegans (staff is not prepared to answer questions about it). -Trattoria Restaurant is supposed to be the best option to eat at the hotel, but it was a completely disappointment. There is no plant-based option on the menu (not even salad!) and no effort about it. We ate a poor spaghetti after almost supplicating to the waiter to talk to the chef asking for a pasta with a simple tomato sauce. Tip: La Palapa restaurant offers a better and cheaper vegetable pasta.
-Amazing villa beachfront (full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, big living room) -Amazing beach view from the room -Great staff -Very clean room -Comfortable bed, pillows and soft towels -Good breakfast buffet (even for vegans) at La Palapa restaurant with great beach views -Great wifi connection -Good plant-based options in La Palapa restaurant (veggie burger, pasta, pizza, and fajitas - our favorite one!) -Activities offered to guests -Mini market at the resort -Relaxing and almost private beach

United StatesThe beach right off the resort is not too clear but there are so many beaches near by that are only a drive or walk away that it was not an issue.
This place was beautiful and very clean. The staff was excellent and very welcoming. The room was big enough for our family of 6. We were able to drive our car to many excursions. Our car was safe in the parking lot. The apartment had a full kitchen and we enjoyed many meals there.

United StatesThe beach was disappointing — it looks like a little lake with lots of plants in it. Maybe it looks different at a different time of the year… Food at the main restaurant was overpriced and not that good (except for breakfast and the Mexican night). But the option to go to their “sister” hotel (Royal Sands) for beach and lunch one day was really a plus!
Our room was clean, fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds. It was nice to have a little porch. Nice pool, my kids loved checking the little turtles they have in a pond every morning. Good breakfast with lots of options. Staff was really nice.

United StatesThe food at the restaurants was overpriced and not that good. And they had zero interest in helping choose food for dietary restrictions. They will try to sell you on the presentation to become a member. And I mean everybody you speak to, every day. Most staff were not pushy but some were.
Clean, comfortable, quiet, beautiful location. Was not the young adult spring break party location which was great for us. Mostly families, quiet by 10pm. Nice beach & very secure. Convenient store on site. The beach was perfect if you have young kids - no waves, very shallow. It’s weedy on the north side though. If you want clear waters, you can go to the sister resort for free on the hotel shuttle or for less than $1 on the bus, but the week we were there was red flag warning and strong waves so no real swimming at the sister resort.

CanadaNo cable TV. Two pouches of coffee provided, after you have to pay. Restaurants / food on site are very expensive. Same for the mini market, prices are ridiculously high. We did’t buy anything there. We hoped we would have been told about all the activities available upon check in so we don’t find out on our last day.
Great option for big family, the apartment is spacious. The beach is fine. Lots of activities on site. Quiet, but not too far from the actions (5-10 min in public bus). They let us checked in earlier. Hotel is not new, starting to feel the years, but it’s clean and comfortable. Pools are great. Staff was nice.

United StatesIt was so cold. The ocean wind at night. I would have liked the seaweed to be raked up buried. I wished the pool water is a little warmer. Kept getting lost, a lot of blind spots. I wanted more restaurant choices. There was no entertainment.
The food was great. The size of the room, the full fridge, the stove, all were great. The staff was good. Overall , I would stay again.

United StatesNothing to complain about.
Unlike most of the hotels around this area, this facility is made of 3-4 stories buildings, making it a little friendly and community-feeling. We could park our car on site, the food was great, with a lot of choice from the buffet, the personnel was so awesome and friendly. For the price we managed to get from booking, it was really worth it.
