The bathroom facilities are a bit older

The host is extremely nice and will help with organizing transport or tours, he speaks perfect English . While not in the center, the hostel is easily accessible by walking.

Moses the owner is a great host and very helpful, one of the kindest hosts I've met, I would return just to support him. Room was pretty cozy and the bathrooms were decent. 15 min walk from town center but felt safe at all times of the day (male traveler).

For this price, it would be unfair to nitpick :) The only real issue is the lack of AC cooling(there are fans) during hot days but the hostel would be much more expensove then. Everything is almost perfect.

Excellent price to quality ratio, amazingly helpful staff, quiet environment, cool balcony, hot water, very clean... there is much to like here.

Moises, the owner, is a super kind, polite and friendly person who will make your stay much nicer. Always smiling and wanting to help as much as possible. The beds are comfortable and the location is great. It has a nice terrace and it has a really nice atmosphere.

The hostel has everything you need, a nice terrace where everyone is hanging out and in walking distance of everything important in Oaxaca. But what makes the hostel special is the owner, who is incredibly kind and helpful. Would absolutely recommend staying there!

Super friendly host with tons of suggestions for trips and tours. Was also ok with me leaving my luggage on my last day. Very welcoming atmosphere and easy to get to know other travellers. Location is not super central but makes it very quiet at night.

All was great

The owner is the sweetest and most considerate person, will go out of his way to meet your wishes. Got a room upgrade without even asking for it. Ask him anything. Hostel supplies towels, soap, drinking water, coffee for free, has a terrace and warm showers. Don't get fooled for the price. You get much more than in any other place.

The bed ladder was broken and it was hard to get to the upper bunk bed.

The owner is very helpful. Rooms, kitchen and bathrooms are very clean. We could left our backpacks when we went out for a three day trip in the mountains.

Not super close to the centre but the neighbourhood is totally fine, and at the price that felt reasonable. The stove is in the dorm room, which weirdly I found brought guests together for shared meals so was a plus in some ways, but might irk others.

Interesting hostel with an excellent owner who is super friendly and helpful, the dorm room is constantly clean and there's a cute little terrace. Nice social vibe when I was there and free decent filter coffee in the mornings. I stayed a long while and it was a good cheap base for exploring Oaxaca state.

There should be a limit for how late someone can start cooking. Both nights I stayed here, the same person started cooking at 22:30 and midnight, which didturbed many of us who were trying to sleep.

Everything about the building was very good.The general area is little rough but ok to walk at daytime.

One of the most economical hostels to stay in Oaxaca.The hostel is simple and functional.Feels very "homey"..Owner Moses is simply an amazing host and will look after your needs promptly.Has excellent lockers,is clean and has very hot water even in the sink.Very nice courtyard and patio to hang out at.

The 10 bed dorm has a kitchen in the room. However, it was quiet most of the times.

Very clean and quiet hostel. Modern bathrooms. Hot shower with proper pressure. Towel and soap included. Comfy beds. Lockers. Equipped kitchen. Coffee and water available. Cosy little terrace. Quiet street. 25 mins walk from city centre. Close to Central bus station and the main local market de Abasto (much better than the famous markets in the centre). The owner is very kind and helpful. Clothes washing is also allowed. 6 bed dorm has kitchen and bathroom just for that dorm! 4 bed dorm is very quiet.

The host was amazing. He offer towels and soap once you arrived. And he is willing to help you with accommodation at a full season or arrange something for you. And he try to give you the information you need. The reason I booked the hostel is because of the host.
