Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaAn electric kettle or coffee machine in the room for morning tea or coffee would have been much appreciated.
This boutique hotel has an excellent location. Quiet but close to eateries and transport. The room was not really big but clean and well equipped, next to a nice balcony and beautiful sit out. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice with a big wardrobe,The breakfast was excellent. Served in the garden, it was more enjoyable. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay in a Spanish style historical building.

United StatesTraffic is challenging. We had a private driver to get us from Mex City to Cuernavaca which was not expensive and the way to go. If you want to venture into the bigger part of the city, I recommend you consider this option or taxi. The Zocalo is hoppin day/night so if you want to get away to a quieter spot, right up the hill across from the cathedral are ~ 4 quiet restaurants - at the top of the hill is one with a view - not fancy but great food on the patio. If visiting Taxco be sure to wear comfortable shoes. If you or someone in your party has trouble walking or stairs, the square is lovely to hang out and people watch but the town in total is ALOT of walking / climbing up/down stairs.
First time to Mexico City/Cuernavaca - traveling with my adult daughter (21) so safety/convenience was our main goal. Perfect location for a 2 day stay. The waiter at attached restaurant told us great stories about the street and the property, dating back to 1600's. There is a small curio with artifacts found on the property. We landed in MX City 11:20am, drove 1.5 hrs to Cuernavaca with a private driver. The hotel is located within walking distance of historical sites, restaurants. Gorgeous room, big windows facing the street - visited in late Nov , weather allowed for open windows in the day and early evening. The room has heat and air conditioning which we used briefly and kept windows open instead. Aquatic/gym right across - enjoyable to see folks up early swimming, cathedral view and Robert Brady Museum right down the street. First day we simply walked to the Zocalo and ate while people watching, visited el Palacio de Cortez (free 1 hr before closing) Diego Rivera mural amazing - great view of the city BTW, watched a service at the cathedral up the street, shopped. Sat in the patio of the hotel next to our room and watched a storm roll in while enjoying a glass of wine from the mini-fridge. Was really a lovely day 1 for arriving 1/2 way through. Next day same private driver took us to Taxco, known for it's silver. Wow! The drive and the city are worth it, even for a few hours. Evening back in Cuernavaca we made it to the Robert Brady Museum before closing (don't miss it) then rested and walked up the street, across from the cathedral to a simple but fantastic place with a view of the city. Got caught in a massive rainstorm - the walk home was wet but a great memory!

AustraliaVilla Bonita is incredibly located, just across from the Brady Museum and around the corner from the Cathedral - so close you can see it from your room, if you're staying as we were in Girasole, our favourite room. The staff are super friendly and every helpful. I can't recommend Villa Bonita more!

United StatesThe Wi-Fi is a bit slow, but such is probably inevitable in the area, and the hot water takes a while to get started (the norm in downtown historic building). But these are relatively minor concerns (unless one is a road warrior and needs fiber speed).
The hotel is a lovely and the staff delightful. It is a very good option, especially if price is a consideration. The breakfasts are hearty and welcoming in the patio. The room was extremely large and airy. The Robert Brady Museum is just across the street (something not to be missed in Cuernavaca in terms of taste and elegance). The bar makes the best cappuccino (and they bring it to the room)! Would definitely stay there again!

United StatesThe water in the shower was terrible. It was either cold or very hot. No adjusting to get a comfortable temperature. We weren't able to get a long relaxing shower. The pool was dirty and covered with a tarp. The receptionist did say it was being cleaned. When we took a closer look, there was a lizard enjoying the pool and many dried leaves that had fallen from the nearby trees.
The breakfast buffet was amazing! Superb quality bakery goods on site and bombastic cafe de olla. Also, we had very little sleep on the date of travel. When we arrived at our room, the bed was so comfortable and they had a fully stocked mini fridge with a wide variety of snacks and drinks! That was at an extra cost but it was also very affordable.

beautiful property, excellent location, extremely comfortable king size and pillows! I slept in the clouds. i appreciate managements decision not to charge me for the first night because I could not come as CB planned as I was stuck in Oaxaca because of the hurricane that hit that state. United StatesThe shower was either very hot or very cold. There’s a pet cat that controls the seating area near the front desk and I’m very allergic. The television remote would not turn off my first night due to batteries needing to be changed. There was a wedding there on the first day I arrived which meant you couldn’t access the grounds. Finally, for breakfast, you have to choose between juice or fruit or pay extra. I reserved for 2 people but they still made me pay. It’s overpriced for what you get.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is close enough to the cathedral and the Zócalo as well as several restaurants and shopping. The grounds are lovely and clean.
