Balcony door didn't have screen door. We wanted to leave the balcony door so we can hear the ocean but mosquito got us. The shower floor is not done properly the water gathers away from drain and had musty order. No fan in the bathroom.

We liked the location and the setting. It was picturesque. Beach was nice.

The resort is in need of a refresh and renovation. It’s tired looking. Needing to scramble to make sure we got a chair at the pool was irritating.

At the back of the building was a mess, with lots of sandbags (?) and trash. When we booked in, there were two rooms together, but one not cleaned. We checked several hours later , they said there was someone in it, so put the Fam in another room, at least on the same floor. Not happy. Beds are very small - as in double size - expected at least a queen.

Room clean, beach and pools beautiful and warm. Restaurants good, but expensive as to be expected. Lots of beach towels, grounds very well maintained. I had a service dog and was put on the ground floor, walk out onto grass and gardens, and the pool. Loved the location!

The check in process was painful possibly due to the construction during our stay.

The rooms are old. Outlets didn’t work. One of our rooms got a leak and hit the middle of the bed. Switched us rooms but the next room was dirty possibly due to them rushing us to a new room

I would definitely stay at the Westin Puerto Vallarta again. it's nice to stay in a hotel where you can tell they know what excellence in service is. It is a spotless hotel, the people are professional, friendly and always willing to help. Despite the fact that the facilities are a bit old, the cleanliness of each space and the warmth of the staff make you want to return. I will definitely come back!

The decor needed much upgrading. Furniture was also old, scratched and chipped, just not in the best condition. Our sink and toilet were both leaking. For the most part the housekeeping was ok, but we had this clump of hair on the wall that was there by the shower our whole stay. Overall, I didn't really think it was a good value.

Love the location with private beach access. You don't get hassled much from the street vendors. It was also within walking distance to a lot of restaurants. It had a nice big pool and we even complimentary snacks and drinks at the bar one evening.

the children’s pool area became noisy every day around 4 pm with a volleyball game where the referee incessantly blew loud whistle. it was truly annoying. the iguanas were lovely except when they decided to go for a swim in the pool, and the sign warning of crocodiles in the ocean was off putting as well.

conveniently located near airport, east walk to the marina malacon and quick cab ride to the city at a reasonable cost. staff were wonderful. especially Mario the concierge.
