The only negative is a very minor comment: the AC unit didn't quite cut it during the hot hours of the day. Trying to take a nap mid-day was a bit uncomfortable.

Everything! Beautiful location, great restaurant, terrific service. The staff was helpful and the beach / pool were beautiful. We'll certainly be visiting again.

The hotel is right on the beach in tulum with a lovely relaxed beach vibe to the hotel and restaurant. Our room was a cabin just off the beach and it was great. Huge comfy bed, mosquito net and air con. Big bathroom with walk in shower and filtered water provided. The staff were wonderful and so friendly.

Can think of nothing. All amazing.

My 89yo mom said "take me somewhere warm" and off we went to Zamas. The entire experience was wonderful. Great communication. Helped us book transportation from Cancun Airport, booked us (fantastic) massages that we had right on our beachfront patio, checked in regularly. When we arrived in the dark they helped my mom who has some limited mobility/vision get to our Casita over the sandy beach, and continued to help throughout our stay. The hotel is amazing... beautiful beach and pool, delicious food (sweet potato tacos, pancakes, pepita hummus, beet dip... oh my!) on lovely beachfront patio, yummy drinks. The rooms are so comfortable yet don't get in the way of terrific rustic beach experience. The entire staff is phenomenal. We will most certainly return and very soon!

I have no complaints.

Staying at Zamas is like a warm family reunion for me. I hadn't been in almost 7 years, but to my delight it was as welcoming and gloriously scenic as ever. The staff is particularly embracing and that view, while you sit having a very delicious breakfast in their open air restaurant - what a wonderful way to greet the day!

The location was perfect, central to the many destinations offered in Tulum. The staff were friendly and the menu offerings were sure to please vegans and meat eaters. Sikil Pak, or Mayan guacamole was divine. Front desk was most professional and sure to please. The guests were normal people from all over the world and locals, including families. Not the party crowd and thank Gods, no music piped through the restaurant or beach area like most other beach clubs in Tulum!

Nothing really. It would be nice to have a fridge, and somewhere to hang towels, but none of that detracts from the magic.

The staff are the loveliest that I have met. They are all friendly, smiling and helpful. We were in Cabin 2 in Coconut Grove with a sea view from the front porch. The cabin furnishings are just gorgeous and the beds are very comfortable. The cabin design makes the most of summer breezes and you can gaze up through the skylight and see palm trees while you shower. And nothing beats a beer on your porch watching the sun set on the sea.

Service was super friendly but a little less personal than I’d expect for a small hotel, and their prices for things like taxis and bike hire in town were a little out of date.

Unique room that was super clean and well appointed. Beachfront location and beautiful pool area. Restaurant was tasty! Honestly loved Zamas - relaxing hotel with charm and amenities.

Beach wasn’t the best- but that is not the hotels fault.

Everything was great and met my expectations. The staff were very friendly and food was very reasonably priced and delicious. We had a private part of the beach which was great. During our stay there were turtles hatching so we got to help release them into the ocean. It was a once in a life time experience.

Fridge in room.

Good hotel in the Tulum Hotel Zone. Hotel is right on the beach. We stayed in a Cabana which was right on the beach and next to the sea. Can literally hear the waves on a night. Room has a big bed, shower and Wi-Fi. No fridge in room. The hotel has a restaurant and bar but it was closed while we were staying. Stayed for 3 nights with my partner. There are a handful of shops, bars and restaurants that are walking distance. If you want to go to the main beach clubs like Ziggys and Cocos you will need to get a taxi which is about 7 minutes away. Or you can walk 30 minutes.

Lots of seagrass at the beach, but this is not the hotels fault. We did not like Tulum itself since it changed a lot in the last 20 years. The beachbar was maybe a bit expensive.

We booked the jungle room but got an upgrade to one of the upstairs bungalows for free. The bungalow was spacey, with a nice view and compfy beds. The staff was always friendly and even provided a small fridge since the bungalow lacked one. The pool was wonderful and since we were the only guest we had the luxery to use it privatly.

The beach is quite rocky so not the best for swimming but I loved sunbathing there and getting lunch in the restaurant overlooking the beach

We had a jungle room and it was very secluded, quiet and beautiful. We had two hammocks on the balcony and a sea view. Located on the other side of the road from the beach so you still heard the waves but didn’t get the seaweed smell

Not the fault of Zamas, but there’s plenty of seaweed. There is a pool for those who don’t like wading through seaweed.
