- smelled of smoke despite all the signs and warnings against it (smell was only in the hallway though) - ants in the bathroom which was avoidable but kinda gross - could get quite noisy being beside the main road - side point: it's ok, but it has a lot more potential

- location was handy, just a walk from everywhere you'd like to go - room was spacious and bed was comfy - tea and kettle was provided - toiletries provided - filtered water available (albeit room temperature)

One window damaged so I couldn't open blinds, this is a health hazard and needs sorting. As with a lot of similar hotels with these prices, the decorating needs updating.

Air condition is not cold enough, the tv remote is broken. I asked for another but the staff said none is available.

The location is good, we just walked around the city. The internet is strong and good. Elevator is available.

My only negativity is the roof garden which is sad and neglected. There's nowhere comfortable to sit and there's a lot of rubbish.

The location is great. Easy walking into both the old and new town. The room was simple but comfortable. Great value for the price paid. The view from my room was beautiful over the river and mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a couple of problems with the air con and the kettle. Both were sorted immediately by the staff. The best though was that the owner offers tours. You can take a car and driver by the hour. This enabled me to visit Tempurung Cave and Kek Lok Si Tong Temple as well as Kellie's Castle. I wouldn't have been able to see them otherwise. The tour was fantastic.

Upon assigning the room to us, the room door and windows were wide open as the cleaners were trying to get rid of the smell of cigarettes. Some food scraps were found on the floor, and some small insects occasionally crawled out from the crevices. The platform flooring was cracked in several places and was being held together by duct tape. The bathroom sink was leaking and a bucket was placed underneath to catch the drippings. In short, the room was falling into significant disrepair.

Very good location. A short walk to the old town west of the river, as well as the great food and edible souvenir shops east of the river. Also the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

One window was damaged and couldn´t be opened, The street in front of the hotel was unexpectedly busy and noisy.

Excellent location close to the old city with all the heritage buildings. Very good Vietnamese restaurant next door. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Free water refill.

The price for this basic hotel is quite pricey. rm150/night is too much for me (and of course i didn't have much choice) Could be a bit lower the price.

Location, location, location -- perfect! Easy to park your car. Many restaurants in the area. Clean room and toilet. Local TV Station. Good water pressure for shower. Has elevator even though its a tiny hotel. Drinking water station for guests.

Unfortunately we could not get wifi on our floor apparently it was broken? We booked 2 rooms. Both rooms were very run down, and the shutter in one room was hanging off and not working properly. The noise from the street is ridiculously loud, cars and motorbikes racing up and down street all night. Not the hotels fault but need to mention as maybe they could fix the shutters?

There's TVs in the dorms, which was a first for me. I think this just has the potential to create problems where someone might want to watch it late whilst others would prefer it off. It's unnecessary imo. There was a window in the dorm which had no curtain, light blared through in the morning.

All the staff I spoke to were kind and friendly. Nice rooftop space. There's a great deal ran with the Vietnamese cafe next door, a free coffee each day starting in the afternoon. Free drinking water on the floors. Decent location. Reliable and efficient lift. Handy brochures by reception for stuff to do.

Colour scheme! Beds on platform and tucked into a corner. Bathroom could have been cleaner.

Beds were really comfortable and ac worked well. Bedding was clean Room had akettie and hair dryer One of the staff was very helpful and friendly, the other not so. The price was ok. The location good, some great local eating places in the new town.
