How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The shape of the room was a little odd, the bed was not directly facing the TV. The water pressure in the shower was not as strong as desired but still decent.
The location was walking distance to nearby malls or food options. It was also only a short drive from the beach. The host kindly upgraded us to their biggest room.

The only downside of the hotel is that, no lift just a staircase. Not suitable for elderly. But for me, not really an issue. Just walk up 1-2 floors up. At least you burn some of the calories you had earlier. That’s is vacation anyway. And if I have to suggest, maybe you can put 1 more big mirror outside the toilet for us to dress up.. other than that, good job guys. Keep up the good work.
The Hotel is very cosy, modern look and everything is there for your convenience. This residence is very suitable for a short stay or for a single or couple stay. If you’re travelling in a big group, you may want to book more room so that you have a little space to organise your shopping items. The host is very nice and helpful.

Perfect location Very confortable and nicely decorated room. I appreciated the fridge, the electric rolling shutter with remote control, the modern lighting with sensitive switchers. And above all: the most proactive and responsive communication with a residence’s manager I’ve ever had. Really worth the price.

The Asia City area is not very appealing, but once you step in the residence you are in an entirely different world. This residence is simply too good for this area and there is nothing the host could improve.
We loved everything about this residence. Exceptional service and communication, state of the art facilities, the most comfortable beds in all of Borneo, central location, excellent value for money etc. Everything is 10+ stars 🌟

The room was sparkling clean and spacious. Check in process was very smooth and the staff was very responsive to all our requests. Location is very good with cafés, shops and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend staying there!

Nothing major, could use a long length mirror, shower was small. No bedside table on one side even though there is plenty of room, they do provide a portable charger to help with this.
Comfortable, big room. Clean room and communal hallway. Contact with staff was good, easy check in. Good toiletries.

Just little issue with the shower head hanger (it was unscrewed and very loose), can't find any other blemishes beyond that.
Can't believe how good was the room compared to the low price, felt closer to a luxury stay.

The room, although nice to look at was poorly made. The door hinge detached as the wood where it was attached was too thin, hence, it detached and almost fell on my head. There were patches of paint here and there, which is a common make-do for the hotel. But hey, this is not a five start hotel, and while it is not, the service is five star level.

Room was great and spotless clean, all the facilities in hotel were new and extra well maitaned. Host was super helpful providing us guidance and all help. Location was perfect with a lot of restaurants outside. Our best stay in whole Sabah

Very clean, rooms are us on the pictures, the staff is very friendly, good communication through whatsapp. I stayed for 2 nights (between mount kinabalu climb) and they allowed me to store my luggage. On the second night, I had an upgrade for free. I would surely recommend this hotel.

Just the second floor, but not a big deal. They can help with carrying the luggage.
Spacious room, clean and tidy. The facility is just like a hotel rate. Walking distance to asia city like a minute, night time downstairs has a food stall or food shop. The Hospitality is amazing and friendly, anything you need just text them and prompt response. What I most like, they have lots of hanger ☺️ Parking in walking distance around 1-2minutes

No lift. Fine for young people to walk 2 floors up but not for elderly.

One thing is the mattress and pillow in our room was too soft.
Clean & comfortable, we liked the bright lighting and quiet environment even if it was in the middle of the city. Needed to climb 2.5 flight of stairs to reach, but the staff was very helpful and friendly. Good amenities.
