Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandWe had a luxurious and pleasant stay. Our room was a haven of comfort and elegance, boasting stunning views of the city skyline. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the room, from the plush bedding to the modern amenities. We particularly enjoyed the spacious bathroom, complete with a rain shower and luxurious bath products. I loved how they have an infinity pool overlooking city views. One of the highlights of our stay was the dining experience at the hotel's restaurant. The culinary offerings were exceptional, with a diverse menu showcasing both local and international flavors. We savored every bite, accompanied by impeccable service. Overall, our stay at Alila Bangsar Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. From the elegant accommodations to the attentive staff, every aspect of our experience exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to return to this urban oasis in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable stay in the city.

Indonesia1. 3 lift rides in total between room and public transport access 2. No bathtub 3. While there is usb type A charging port beside the bed, most cables now are type C, and no wall.socket available beside the bed. There is one on the right side of the bed but very tight clearance from.the bedside table, hence I.could.nof plug my charger and travel adsptor on it.
1. Hotel is attached to acces bridge towards LRT Station. 2. Room is cleaned daily and amenities are topped up daily. 3. Proper coffee machine on the common area. 4. Room and hallway are aesthetically pleasing. 5. Located on top of est. building, very good view of KL City 6. Real 24 hours receptionist, checking in at midnight and checking out early morning was not a problem and very fast. 7. Very comfy and roomy seating area inside the room. 8. Tons of electrical socket

SingaporeSame as everyone else mentioned, the lift situation needs some getting used to. The lobby is the highest floor, and the rooms are below it. To get to the room, one needs to take at least 2 lift rides (3 if you come from the LRT station). After a while, I got used to it so it wasn't a big issue. (Though the main lift ride to level 41 took a while, so better not forget anything when leaving the hotel) Gym could be better though. Just some free weights (highest is 25 i think) and some machines. Nobody here does a pull day I guess. Definitely could use more machines. Almost another typical hotel gym with more cardio machines and some free weights. Breakfast was also, as everyone else mentioned, very limited. I see what everyone meant, but I felt like it was just nice for a hotel with not many rooms/guests. Many just come, eat, and go anyway. But still would be nice to get abit more variety and options for food, but don't do it and miss out on quality, which alot of other hotels sadly do.
The room was spacious and had a unique layout, not the usual hotel room. Both the rooms and the hotel spaces were very aesthetic, good for those who really appreciate these things. Perfect for young adults and couples. Not for families with younger kids, as there is nothing for them here. And it will ruin the calmness of the place. Interesting idea of a communal space at each level with a coffee machine and some local snacks. Definitely had a few rounds of those. Service was amazing, both the staff in the lobby and the ones on the ground at the main entrance. Bangsar LRT is literally just outside, and KL Sentral is just the next stop. The complimentary chauffer service really helped alot in getting around, to Mid-valley or KL Sentral nearby if you dont feel like taking the LRT.

MalaysiaSignage to reach the check in lobby needs to be more prominent. While arriving from the LRT link bridge, one need to travel to the ground floor (Hoping the lift is working), then have to ask to realised that one have to use another lift to get to 41st floor (actual lobby). Of course then you have to use another lift to get to the rooms...Lighting in the rooms seems a bit dark (especially in the living room).
Very quiet and private rooms. Great desk for WFH if needed. Bonus is the free coffee and snack bar.

United Arab EmiratesThe only inconvenience was having to validate our parking card (Tap n Go) at the hotel reception each time we left
We booked a stay at Alila Bangsar for a couple of days during our week-long trip to Malaysia. The hotel's facilities and location are excellent, and parking is available. Upon arrival, you'll need to park your car and proceed to the reception on the 41st floor. The staff there are welcoming and efficient. Our room was on the 36th floor, offering fantastic views. While the breakfast selection was limited, it was sufficient. The hotel is conveniently connected to the metro for easy commuting. Each floor features a coffee machine and some snacks, like chips and peanuts.

MalaysiaThe hotel breakfast has too little variety. The bread is nice, the curry is nice, but it's not worth RM52. the most inconvenient aspect was the need to change lifts three times just to reach our cozy room.
Surprisingly, the swimming pool was exceptionally clean, and the water was refreshingly cold, which made our swim all the more enjoyable. The hotel's aesthetic is incredibly Instagram-worthy, making every corner a potential photo opportunity.

MalaysiaThe access - the Lobby/reception is located at 41st floor. - if you drive, you have to park your car at M1, then take lift up to G and then from G go to level 41. After that you will take another lift to move to your room that’s located in between 35th-39th floor. Altogether, 4 lift you have to change. - G floor no concierge. If you were dropped off to G floor, expect no one to help you carry your bags/luggage up. Parking - small - for Guest, rm5 per day (must validate at the reception level 41 before you leave every time - otherwise, it’s rm5/hour) - entry with TNG or Bank card only. Other - would be great if each floor has trash bin near the elevator - smoking area at 40th floor near the pool has no lights on at night
- Room is squeaky clean - Ironing facilities, tv - Wifi is great - Free flow coffee, tea and snacks on each floor, in front of the lift (level 35-40) - bridge link to LRT (3-5 mins walk) - near NU Sentral and Little India (20 mins walk) - pool & gym on the same floor

MalaysiaThe shower room and toilet at the pool side needs some cleaning or renovation. Many areas seems to be moldy. The basin and the faucet seems to be wrongly designed whereby the distance of the basin and faucet seems too close, my hand practically is touching the basic when washing my hands. Parking should be free for guess or only charge once. You shouldn't charge per entry. My room toilet bowl seems to be loosen, please check with your housekeeping and ensure a routine checking.
It is my 2nd time visiting. This round, I choose this hotel because I would like to dine in at Entier with my mom. The room is comfortable and huge for a twin bedroom. The bed is very comfortable and with plenty of rooms even for 4 person. My bed was converted from the sofa bed which surprisingly still comfortable although it was slightly short perhaps was meant for children to sleep. My height is 176cm with my feet slightly out from the bed. The gym and swimming pool is excellent especially the swimming pool with the beautiful and ecstatic view, I spent most of my time at the pool side. The snack bar located at each floor is also my mom and I favourite spot with unlimited refill of coffee and kacang Puteh. Please keep it up, loving all those facilities.
