Located a bit out of the way (20 minute walk from Pantai Chennai). Hotel in need of updating, room overlooked a roof covered in artificial grass that is a bit of an eyesore and in need of repair/replacing. Room (505) was large but walls were heavily marked and stained which is not the standard I expect from a Marriott hotel. Furniture around the pool also looked quite tired/worn and part of the pool was taped off due to missing tiles. Quite noisy during the day due to maintenance work being carried out in the room next to us, which the hotel only told us about after we had queried with reception. Lack of English speaking TV channels, would expect Netflix to be availability in a hotel of this standard. Issues experienced on check in when we were asked to pay for our booking even though payment had been made to Booking.com at time of booking (3 months prior to staying). The issue was resolved after the hotel took a photo of my payment confirmations on the booking.com app and proof of payment on my banking app,which was not a great start to our stay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided a wide variety of choice and was all of a high quality/standard. Very comfortable bed. The rooms are a good size and we liked having sun loungers on our balcony. The bathrooms are lovely and a very good size with lots of built in storage and quality toiletries provided. Nice beach 5 minutes walk away. Hotel car service was very good and reasonably priced. We used this service to go back to the airport and our driver Azam was very friendly and professional.

The availability of the meal in breakfast can be improved, it was not comfortable waiting for 10-15 minutes while the fruits, vegetables and some other is brought.

I booked seaview rooms and the view was fascinating. The color harmony between green islands and blue ocean creates beautiful contrasts and consonances. Staff were very helpful, smiling all the time. Thanks to Sarah and all resturant staff who found my lost sunglasses. The breakfast was great with several varieties. I’ll definitely rate the hotel as “fabulous”.

Large hotel with approximately 200 rooms . No outside space other than a swimming pool in the 3rd floor with very few subbed. Beach a 5-10 min walk away

Wished that there were a shower cady in the bathroom to place some of our personal containers of shampoo, face wash etc. Some of the sheltered parking was reserved with cones without anyone parking in sight would have appreciated that they indicated the purpose of reserved or release especially on crowded nights.

All the staff were really friendly and ready to assist when we need it. We were upgraded by surprise as we hope to stay near our family friends and also we were on a babymoon. They took effort to decorate the room even with simple balloons and folded towels in 2 different animals. Also we greatly appreciated the self help minibar with the cold drinks during the heatwave stay we had. Choice of breakfast was also a great spread and love that they indicate high traffic or low traffic on the breakfast timings.

Not by the beach although buggy access was given to Pantai Tengah (not as good as Chenang); wish the game room opens later than 6pm. Also, they should have like a clubhouse level accessible to people who stay at suites

Water in Langkawi is a bit yellowish, though the hotel mentioned it was safe. The other thing we suggest the hotel to improve immediately is their salad counter, where I don’t think lettuce is safe to eat. It always looks as it come from yesterday’s leftover. The light was dim at the salad counter but it should be bright for both staff and guests to justify the freshness of those vegetation that not cooked.

The cleaning of the room could have been a bit more thorough

The location is great, a little away from main touristic beach. But close to many restaurants, and a beach. Airport 20min away only by grab. Breakfast catered to many cuisines and tastes. There was a big pool, also a smaller one for kids. Lovely next to it too.
