Absolutely nothing, if you use earplugs in the front bedroom.

Location was terrific, at the edge of the old city, few minutes walk from all the highlights. From the outside the location doesn't look like much but inside it's really fantastic. I guess 25 m deep in two floors, beautifully tiled and decorated, with three separate bedrooms (one very large with two double beds but on the street side so use ear plugs), easily cooled with Airco and each with its own bathroom.. You really get the feeling to stay in an authentic Malaysian home with a patio inside which now has a roof. It has enough room to stay with at least 6 people and as many as 9 without feeling crowded. You can eat next door but all the bars and restaurants are within a 10 minute walk. Owner reacts quickly and very friendly and flexible. Don't look any further and book this place!

The place was nice to stay. From outside, it looks like a normal shop lot but inside it's like a hidden gem. There were many stalls outside at the same street for breakfast. The owner was nice to leave some kuih nyonya at the door for us, it was a pleasant surprise.

I have to say a big thank you to the owner here. Not only did we get to live in a beautiful, historic house, it was also a pleasure for me to experience this house from a conservation perspective. Unfortunately, many of the historic houses there are falling into disrepair, but this house has been renovated with great attention to detail and is therefore well preserved. The house is huge, absolutely clean, cozy and in a central location. Every morning we received a present from Mr. Viktor. The bed was very comfortable (very important for me), and despite the central location it was relatively quiet. Communication was great, helpful, friendly, it was as perfect as it rarely happens. Everything is right down to the smallest detail, something I've never experienced before.

When we arrived, the living room's air-condition was not cooling. However, by the next afternoon, it's been repaired. Otherwise, the rest was good.

Staff was responsive and attentive. Thank you for making such a heritage house available and affordable for visitors like us to have an opportunity and pleasant experience staying in a peranakan house. The house was spacious, well equipped, clean & comfortable - could observe that it's been carefully renovated, maintained and preserved. One morning, Victor drop us some local kuih delicacies - thoughtful! Appreciate that Victor still attend to my enquiries and even offered to assist, even after I've checked out.

The owner is friendly and helpful. He informed us all the information we need to know a days ahead. The location is great and not far from the Jonker Street area. The traffic around the area is smooth, with less traffic. Parking lots are easily spotted opposite the property. A good choice if you need car parking.

Since the property was located by the side of a road, there was some vehicle noise which could be heard at night in one of the bedrooms.

The property was located in an excellent location, and there was a good parking spot outside the property. The house itself was done beautifully and was spacious and extremely well maintained. The house was in a very clean condition when we arrived, check in instructions were clearly given. The house was tastefully and beautifully decorated. The city center and attractions were at walking distance from the property. The owners even gave us complimentary kueh on one of the days!

Nothing really. However for those looking for more cooking facilities, just be prepared to eat out. This place is not designed for cooking, but making drinks and heating up food should be ok. We didn't have much time to watch TV, but couldn't really work out which TV stations were available. Didn't matter to us. Couldn't work out ASTRO or Netflix options. This is an older part of town and generally drainage system seems quite poor. Drains outside seem to be a bit blocked and the smelly drains affected the back of the house. But no problems with drainage within the house.

This is a superb, value for money accommodation. Walking in to this home for the first time felt as though we were stepping back into time into someone's beautiful traditional home. Such an oasis of peace and elegance. It helped that the owner had kept the rooms chilled for our arrival! There were 3 rooms at the property, with spare mattress. 8 towels and basic toiletries (shampoo, body soap) were provided. All rooms and the hall had a plug in anti-mosquito device, but generally we didn't have any major problems with mosquitos. Our travelling party included an inquisitive and active 2 year old, and we had no problems navigating the steep steps and keeping our child safe. We also loved the central courtyard with the sunlight streaming through to light up the whole house. The decoration is charming and delightful, a wonderful mix of the baba nonya tradition and modern day conveniences. There were many local coffeeshops, hawker centers, and roti canai shop options for a quick local meal. Jonker street and the historic part of Melaka is just a quick drive away with ample parking within the city. Owner also dropped off complimentary nonya kuih on the morning of our checkout - thank you! We would definitely come back again if we ever need to be in Melaka in future.

steep stairs - not suitable for elderly. But the stairs are part of the charm of this place. In front of main road, so light sleepers may have a problem with the noise for the room facing road though not an issue for me.
