The stair to upstairs rooms is quite steep so consider booking the downstair rooms if u plan to travel with elderly or people with bad knees. The soundproofing is not that good so u could hear your neighbours. For me not a big issue because i can sleep soundly in that kind of situation. Bring your earplugs. The road to the lodge is not well maintained better not driving lowered cars to this place. Suggest to use an suv or better 4x4. During my stay, there was 1 episode of power outage for about 1 hour in the morning.

Great valley and mountain view just outside your room. There’s a spacious open air common area to hang out, equipped with wooden benches & tables for the guests to enjoy. We even cooked and ate there. Water pressure is good. Shared kitchen is well equipped and clean! Room is suitable for number of guests. Toilet is the seated type. Toilet bidet & overhead shower have good water pressure. Theres ceiling fan available. Staffs were very helpful! I’m so thankful one of the staff helped me with the car when it got stucked on the way out.

Water heater not working in the bathroom. No charging port near the beds. Dusty prayer met provided on the shelf which led to sinus issues. Unfriendly staff at front desk. No briefing upon arrival, only key handover. Location far away from town. Difficult to get grab.

The road down to the property is a bit steep, lower vehicles might have a hard time turning down. In room toilet is a bit crampy, however it does the work, with water heater- what more can we say. Wall is a bit thin, not soundproof.

· Situated 5 mins drive from Kundasang town. The place is simple yet cozy. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds. Equipped with water heater which is somehow needed in such chilly weather.Scenery towards the valley wasn't too bad after all- Not facing Mount Kinabalu. There's a common kitchen and common area/ dinning area/ gathering area which is a plus point for us. Kitchen equipped with kettle, fridge, air fryer and stove with utensils. Wifi was great as well.

The water heater is a bit small and not that hot If you’re driving yourself there please take note there’s no tar road. You’ll need to go down quite a steep hill to reach it.

The access road from the main road has a lot of pole holes & the entrance to the lodge is a bit deep slope which scratches my Proton X50's bottom ;(

Amazing valley view with sunset. Night time is very cold (around 15°C) & windy. Enjoying BBQ without sweating. They do have a FOC BBQ facility ~ bring your own charcoal & food. The kitchen is fully equipped

The road to Bayu Senja Lodge is so bumpy and we cannot view the Mt Kinabalu from the its ground. We had to go to other property if we want to see the Mt which there is a sign says non customers are not allowed to enter however,the valley view is so amazing..

Location about 2km to the Kundasang center so,no rushing to visit the Geo Parks in Kundasang.

Not 24 hours reception but the staff was reachable via what’s app to get self check in info Water heater pipe needs fixing was leaking cold water during shower .

Clean , kitchen had lot of utensils to cook. Grill air fryer and other stuff. Late night check in was hassle free. Nice big kitchen and big space to hangout and park.
