How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Staff were exceptional and were so friendly, giving us a map and telling us where the main areas were to go and what food we should try! I wish all hotels did this! It was about a 20 minute walk into the old town from the hotel (or 5 minute grab trip). The hotel itself was quirky with art and rocks on display. Breakfast was OK, if you're keen on trying cafes I would skip the included breakfast and go to a nice cafe.

The staff at the hotel were fantastic, so welcoming and helpful. The interior of the hotel with the artifacts and artwork were so individual and interesting. A true gem of a hotel.

for the money paid and the location in Ipoh - not having a pool nor having room balconies was easily compensated ..
Bedrock Hotel is ideally centrally located in Ipoh - the hotel is clean, modern, comfortable and welcoming - moreover, the onsite owners have created a very interesting hotel experience !! - their artwork and fabulous 'rock collection' !! - you could be forgiven for thinking you were in a museum's geological gallery !! - despite their being no pool, no gym, no balconies, and a basic but satisfying breakfast selection - we really enjoyed our stay and the ebullience of our host Debbie - we highly recommend this hotel for an Ipoh short stay

The hotel is in a great location, central but on a quiet street. It benefited from being personable and not part of a chain. Bags of character. Comfortable rooms. The manager Debbie was the most welcoming hostess I have ever experienced. Local knowledge and top tips for our visit to Ipoh.

Hotel on a human scale well located in the heart of the city, quiet on the edge of the tourist district. We appreciated the warm welcome and the modern comfort of the place, where all the equipment work and everything is clean. There is even an elevator and ramps for suitcases. All tastefully decorated with pop art paintings and an amazing collection of Chinese stones. Good continental or local breakfast served from 7:30 onwards. Passionate about her city, Debbie recommended us several great places to eat. A very endearing address.

Everything is good. My family gives 10 out of 10. Will book again if in Ipoh. Just for info. Location is not in a bustling area like Octagon and don't have nice view of the town. But it's quiet and only a few minutes walk to Octagon area.

There is Just a sliding door between bed and bathroom which you can close really. You can't see something but smell the chlorined water
Spacious Room and Bath, comfy bed and well situated next to several Bars and Restaurants. The whole Hotel is lovely decorated with a lot of Attention and the service is really caring

Breakfast has no variety. Room has no view.
Lovely and friendly host who took the time to go through the map with us explaining the places to eat and see. Location was great and the room was comfortable.
