The host was very kind in preparing breakfast for us, but i would like to suggest that guest got to choose menu before hand. We were given bread and butter and western breakfast; as we are local people (iban) not our choice of breakfast. But it was okay. The host also was very kind, sharing with us mango . Me and my sister feel comfortable. We would love to come again with our family. Great place for having family day and events. Higly recomemded.👍

The owner is an excellent host and very knowledgable too. The surrounding is clean and beautiful. This is an exciting place to be during the fruit season 💖. I pick some sweet mangoes too😉😁

Nothing. Everything is great!

Love the house location which is situated quite far from the main road. There is a farm nearby where you can just walk around and take photos. Water pressure is strong so we had a good shower. The view from the kitchen is just nice. There are also places where you can just relax and have a nice coffee and chit chat outside.

thank you so so much for the lovely stay and amazing hospitality, we loved everything! this place is a hidden gem, with a beautiful view over the farm and cozy living quarters. it’s spacious, has air conditioning and although it is still a little under construction we truly felt at home. the perfect place for anyone that wants to stay in a low-key, eco-lodge style environment off the beaten path.

Due to the roadworks happening on Pan Borneo highway, it is quite a challenge to locate the entrance of the homestay. Therefore it is crucial to pay attention to the inbox of Bookings.com because the host will be contacting you through it or Whatsapp (if you provide your contact number). Once you found the entrance, just look out for Cassava Agro Farm sign board and drive right in until the very end. You will have doubts, but rest assured you will find the place easily! I would also suggest to provide a simple map on the site first, and register for google business account to have an exact location on Google maps. I would also suggest to service the air conditioner or changing the unit as the room tends to get heaty especially during the noon. It took quite some time for the room to cool down. Nevertheless, nothing to complain!

Located right inside a rainforest, this homestay is an absolutely ideal place if you want to have a retreat from the hectic city life. We were welcome with nothing aside from the beautiful sounds of the forest and the warm and gracious hosts including "Kopi" the charming dog who loves visitors and do not bark at all! He even sent us off when we left the homestay, what a dear! The room we booked is a marvelous Iban and Bidayuh styled wooden chalet, equipped with air conditioner and a new ceiling fan. It could easily fit in a family of 7 (additional cost applied for extra guests with affordable and reasonable price). There is a common area at the lobby which is a very good place to hang out and relax, and also comes with a cozy restaurant. The homestay also sells excellent homemade Roselle wine and Tuak at a very reasonable price! What we loved the most about Cassava Homestay was the hospitality of the host. We experienced a trip off around 3am due to a heavy thunderstorm, but it did not stop the male host to do all his best to restore the power. Very charming! In the morning we were greeted with mother nature's very own orchestra, the sound of birds, cicadas, and not to mention the iconic kampung chicken! Overall a very pleasant stay and highly recommended! I foresee a very promising improvement to this new homestay in the future and would definitely come back again!

Distance from city heart. 9km from simanggang is legit. However what this doesnt tell to potential patron is -9km is far. Too far taking into account the road condition here -additional difficulty of enduring 1 km one lane paved road with no road light through the orchard from the main road to the facility itself. Total darkness in an orchard.My kid honestly said back then "papa where are you bringing us?this is so scary". Once you have checked in.. forget about going out to the city at night. It might not be worth the hassle. No cancellation fee should be made as an option for this kind of facility. All the picture posted in booking.com seems so tempting. Our expectations shattered the moment we had to travel so deep into the orchard just to finally see a gloomy looking shack in the middle of nowhere. The existing rating available here for 1. Rumah gallery 10/10 (3 reviewers) 2. Rumah santai 10/10 (1 reviewers) So...thats the problem of statistic. Perfect score from 4 reviewer might not be as good as 7.5 out of 1k reviewer. Thank you.
