Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOn one of the two nights there was very loud music coming from the nearby pubs. It meant I could not sleep until about 2.30am. This wasn't the case for our second night, so it's just something to be aware of. If you're a light sleeper would not recommend.
Great location, lovely staff who were helpful with the questions that we had. Room was clean and tidy, bed very comfortable.

Hong KongI stayed in this hotel last year and this is my second time this year. I don’t know why, but I often see ants on the desk and wash basins. When I came here last year, there was no such phenomenon. Chair is dirty.
At 12:50 noon on March 17, I was getting into a grab car. The driver didn't help me carry my suitcase to the trunk. I tried several times, but it was not strong enough. A male employee of the hotel came out to help me. Thank you very much and wish him a happy work.

MalaysiaSometimes hard to find Grab transport car. Longer wait due to the heavy traffic in the street nearby.
A lot of local & non-local eateries nearby near the hotels. No worry of no food during night time. Plus there’s a 24-hours mini mart across the hotel.

Location is very good near waterfront and chinese museum. Staff very accomodating and friendly. Able to check in early as long as room ready. This is my 3rd stay in d green during my kuching holidays. I break the stay to go to mulu cave and permai rainforest and bako national park. During these breaks they allow me to leave some of my bags behind. Much appreciated. Bed comfortable, shower very good and kettle avaliable. Free mineral water on 1st day of stay. Nearby 2 coffee shops with good kolo mee and many other stalls.

ItalyWe liked everything! Just a little comment: no breakfast is provided - we grabbed something to eat in the minimart located exactly in front of the hotel, since we did not have a lot of time to explore the area and to wait for food in a restaurant / bar (we left before 7 AM). Of course this has not affected my vote (it was known!), but I guess it could be a nice improvement to evaluate for the future, especially if they have customers leaving for 1-2 nights trips around Sarawak that do not want to go around looking for food before departure. Just my 2 cents! :)
This hotel is conveniently located in Kuching, quite close to the city center and to the main bus station. There are also some restaurants and bars nearby (among them, also the supposedly "best cheese naan" in the whole city!). We were actually quite dubious about noises coming from outside - karaoke / live music were in place in a bar nearby during the night of our stay, so we simply guessed that our "silent room" request could not be met - but as soon as we closed our bathroom window we could not here a single thing from outside anymore and we slept like logs. ;) Our stay here was really short (we landed late, we left early for Semenggoh Wildlife Center and Bako National Park), but this hotel is definitely a perfect basis for exploring Kuching and other Sarawak destinations. Of course it's really simple and basic, but since we spent only a few hours there we really did not need anything more than a comfortable bed and a hot shower.

IndonesiaIt's not something I didn't dislike, but please mind that they only provided soap and shampoo. You must procure stuff like toothbrush yourself. Also, the towels etc are clean... But I'm not sure if they've seen better days, or are just off-white!
The staff is very friendly - I think it's really important as they already made me feel welcome the first time I set foot in the hotel The room was quite large and the bed was nice - I always had a good night sleep. Hot water was available consistently all the time. The place is close to the Waterfront, and the other places of interest llike Borneo Cultures Museum and the Chinatown are also within walking distance. A minimart is right across the street, and there's another one in the same block. There are also good places to eat around the hotel!
