Mainly caused by the fact, that I was partly there during a main holiday in Malaysia, the rooms were fully booked (and actually in whole Kundasang) and as mentioned in other reviews, the rooms are not soundproof, so you hear every step and conversation. In the very night it was quiet enough to sleep though, depending how respectful the other guests are. That was actually much better after the holidays. Also - I believe a problem in whole Kundasang, which was probably worse due to the mass of tourists during the holidays - the sewerage smell from bathroom and from the back of the house - was sometimes really bad. This actually also got better after the holidays.

The spacious balcony with the seating area, sink and some dishes to prepare your own coffee/instant noodles or some fruit is really nice. Fantastic view to the mountains, loads of birds around. Location is quiet, although close to the town center, so nice for people who don't have an own vehicle. Large, clean, well equipped room, although not the newest furniture.

The smell from the drainage/sewage system can be quite strong.

1. The room was huge. The host upgraded our room for free. 2. Spacious balcony equipped with kitchen utensils. There was also a kitchen, but we didn’t use it. 3. Functioning water heater. This is the first property that I have stayed in in Kundasang that actually has hot water. Although the water pressure was on the lower side, I can’t complain since it’s functioning well. 4. Good WiFi connection. 5. Friendly host and staff. 6. Close to restaurants and supermarkets. They are of walking distance.

i dint like the smell on the back...it kinda disturbing when open the sliding...bad smell.....also please improve the toilet cleanness and it kinda smell too....

The sound proofing is not that good due to thin wall and floor, but as a visitor, in group or alone, please be considerate to other visitor and don't stomping or jumping or talk loudly in the room as it may disrupt others relaxing in their room.

Easy access to Kundasang town and nearby attraction. Allow cooking as kitchen is provided. Kinabalu mountain view from balcony. Room is spacious and clean. Shower comes with heater. Hairdryer provided and water boiler also is provided. Parking spaces available in front of the homestay.

I can really recommend to stay at Dreamcatcher. The location is very good and the view from the balcony is amazing, the whole ambiente is very lovely. And the owner of the place is very kind and attentive, she even picked us up in a situation where we couldn't get a taxi.

The hot water was 38 degree maximum due to water pressure. The bathroom was small, once having shower, the whole bathroom was wet. But it wasn't too bad, it was valuable for staying a night before hiking.

It was close to the entry of the Mont Kinabalu Park by car. Walking distant to market and food. People there were nice and helpful, they gave us the hair dryer once asked them on the apps messager.

The soundproof of the room is not good, there was a group of young people in the next room making noise until 1am on the first night. Hope it doesn't happen all the time.

location is great, the room has great scenery which you could see the mountain surrounded by the pink cloud in the early morning. There is also a nice Chinese restaurant nearby. The water heater is great, which is absolutely necessary here. The host is super helpful and responds to all the requests in time.
