There are essentially two separate hotels and although you can go into the bars and restaurants there, the old heritage part of the hotel and pool advertised is not available to those staying in annexe rooms. This isn’t made clear on booking.

Large spacious room but getting a bit dated (stayed in annexe built in 2000s), decent breakfast and level 6 annexe pool was good. 15 min walk into old town.

The hotel atmosphere of a grand hotel of a bygone era, with all the latest technology and super services. Excellent breakfast, great infinity pool, first class staff.

They should do something about the pigeons and crows that sit above the balconies because poop.

We had a room in the heritage wing and it was huge. The bathroom is almost as big as some rooms in inner city hotels in e.g., Tokyo. The seating area with the sofa was great for relaxing in the evening. I also liked that we had plenty of water (and other minibar items) everyday, including a newspaper. The breakfast at Sarkies was great; we especially liked the Omelette and Roti station, and also the Kue Talam. Lastly, we mostly stayed at the Heritage Wing pool, which is very scenic, with the ocean on one side and the historic building on the other.

Some paintwork on public doors needs urgent attention. This detracts from an otherwise extremely elegant building

Service from all staff was exceptional- it is becoming more difficult to find this level of service anywhere in the world these days. We were 3 backpacking 50-somethings, and were treated so well here - we have loved every minute of our stay

I was there over Chinese New Year and the place was packed with events, weddings and assorted noisy activities. Not very restful

In the capacious studio, there are not enough towel racks to hang up the second bath towel and other wet items (swim suits, etc).

Rejuvenating sea breezes by the Poolside Terrace, well-equipped gym with water views, delicious and authentic multi-ethnic food freshly made at the buffets, very attentive and friendly wait staff, polite and well-trained cleaning crew. Best of all, the studio room was very spacious with a private balcony overlooking the sea.

Disappointed about the cleanliness and maintenance of the room and common areas. Had to ask for the rooms to be properly dusted on arrival and an in icecream stick remained on the window ledge by the lifts for the duration even though it was passed by by many staff members
