I checked in pretty late but the person at reception never told me the code to get into the hostel. I was locked out before finally another guest told me the code. There’s one North American shower and one bucket shower

Privacy curtains! The hostel appeared to be pretty clean and there was breakfast included every morning. It’s pretty quiet

The pressure and the temperature of the water in the shower rooms need improvement.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The facilities in the room are working properly. Nice breakfast. The location is perfect. Just in the middle of the action.

There are pets (which it does say on the listing) so sometimes ended up with a few cat hairs. The showers could be cleaned more frequently, to make it better.

Location is good, the host was very friendly and polite. The breakfast was also good and varied, the host kindly said help yourself to coffee all day, as I was working while there.

If they could have option for female dorm but so far mixed dorm was still good for me had a quite privacy stays with curtained bunkbed and personal plugs station.

Not really soundproof and there was some noises when trying to sleep.

The aunties that run the hostel are amazing and they took care of us as well as they could.

Shower water pressure quite slow

Near the amenities such as seafood restaurant, craft market, fish cracker, wet and dried fish market. Unlimited coffee. Cooking utensils. The surrounding vibes.

The second part of the hostel has a smoking area which is not separated enough from the rest of the living room and the smell can be quite pungent sometimes for non smokers despite the place being clean overall and we could see the staff were paying attention to keeping it clean. A simple air freshener or something would be better for everyone. The beds spaces measure 1.85cm. I know it because that's my height and I was touching both ends head to toe. Taller people might have some issues if they sleep straight

The lady owner was very nice and helpful. Good location, overall cosy environment in the living room and kitchen. Nice varied breakfast, changed everyday that we were there. Beds are in small cocoons you can close with a curtain and you have a plug and lamp which feels Very comfortable.

The owner and the rest of the staff is the sweetest, most caring lady who will help you with whatever you needs beds comfortable room clean close to Jesselton point (ferries to nearby islands)
