How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It came out water from the aircon direkt to the floor in the bathroom so everything was weet all the time.
It was Nice room, Aircon and wifi worked without no problems. The bed was great. The crew was Nice and helpful. Close to jonkerstreet.

Room is exceptional clean. Location really near to my company dinner hotel and near to tourist places. Able to go for a short vacay wit my family. Bed also nice and comfortable, can see that their cleaner is really doing their job well. The receptionist also so friendly. Only to improve is your TV, perhaps in future can have a better channel coverage and could be better if can provide a movie options to watch by using USB or etc. Anyway everything is good and nice to stay here. For sure I will choose this again for my next trip to Melaka.

1. Carpet need to be washed as it has numerous stain. 2. The entrance room door....very tight to open and close and have to push and pull harder. 3. Need little touch up here and there.

Room is small and old. Facilities are very basic, no refrigerator. Bathroom is even smaller. Cleanliness is so-so. You need to make a deposit in cash (no credit card accepted).
The location is good, a few minutes walk from city central (Jonker's walk, river cruise, Dutch square). Staff is very friendly and helpful. My room faces the backyard so it was very quiet. Car park is available (although I did not have a car), if you rent a scooter, just park them next to the entrance. Aircon, hot water and internet worked well. There is a socket which will fits all kinds of plug (EU, US, UK, CN, JP)

Location is quite convenient to reach, it is next to the attraction at Melaka.

10+/10 for the water pressure in the shower. The room was fine and the carpet was, fortunately, not sticky as mentioned by other reviewers. The bathroom was a bit small and the water on the floor did not drain away very quickly. Some updating and maintenance is needed. The basin was cracked though still useable. The road outside is busy but not noisy at night. It is only 5 minutes walk to the river. A fridge would have been good.

Location just next to the beautiful Melaka River, can park car at Hotel parking, able to walk to Jonker Street and A'Famorsa area (about 10 - 15 min), then no need to worry about where to park your car at the busy tourist area.

The room has a weird smell; like a glue smell that went away after the air conditioner was left on after a while. Plus the road beside is quite noisy at night.
Near the city and private parking provided. Plus the staff were very nice - the two ladies were very polite and helpful.

Toilet shower water a bit slow. Room floor using carpet is not really a good idea but they managed to keep it clean, so it is forgiven.
Room- Okay not too small for solo travelling. Location- All close by and easy to go from hotel to melaka center. Car Park- Free Car Park provided first come first serve got CCTV at car park. Staff all friendly and smile

Aircon blower looked dirty with black soot stains. It made a lot of noise when it was starting up. The noises died down after 30 mins. The room become very cool and nice to sleep in.
Location. Hotel is Near Jonker Street. I have visited Melaka multiple times and I like to explore areas away from Jonker street. Basic room but the bed, aircon, hot water functions very well. Body felt it is a very nice stay, aesthetically however I knew I pay for that hence I have no complaints.

I think hotel needs some renovations, it’s a bit old and carpets are dirty. Couldn’t open windows, saw mould in the bathroom.
