No security code. Everybody could access the hostel from the outside. There was a power outage, but the guy came to me and other guests to politely apologise and reassure us technicians were working on it. Indeed, it didn't even last long, and as far as I understood, it's a common thing in Semporna.

The staff was amazing, friendly, welcoming, helpful at all times, also to book a transfer to Tawau airport on a day that I didn't sleep there. Such nice people make a huge difference when you travel. The bed was comfy. Dining area with tables and chairs. Hot shower. Cleaned bathrooms. Good vibes. I loved it.

The hotel itself was good but the transport they arranged was not so good. 5 of us were picked up late at the airport and it was a rickety van which also carried goods.

-smell, air circulation in male dormitory room -used(wet) towel don't have hanging/drying area in dormitory room, although have drying area at backyard for sharing, might get confuse if everyone use the same towel given -better install small night light in each bed, because when sleeping at night (sharing) main lights is(should be) off

-staff/owner help to keep shoe to prevent from missing -pantry is equip with microwave, coway water dispenser, eating plate cup mug, eating cutlery and stuff -got bread, 3in1 beverage self service -got locker need deposit -aircone working fine -hot shower, no water issue like run out of water -got drying rack at (like backyard) for sharing -got tables and chairs at living room for sharing -cheap price, facilities quite complete -can book airport shuttle service from them at cheap price, mini bus sharing

The staff named Munir (if Im not mistaken) and Kak Ju doing exceptionally great.. They always smile, share a lot of useful info.. They book airport transfer (van/minibus) for me from airport to hostel and hostel to airport with standard rate rm30 one way (March 2023).. There is towel provided, there is pantr,y, fridge, microwave oven, electric kitchen, toaster, plate and utensils are all organized.. There is banana, bread, spread, drinks.. Breakfast also provided (except for ramadhan).. The room is clean, air conditioned, curtain, pllug point for each bed, wifi.. What "could" be improved? 1) tighten the screw of the handle of the locker 2) tighten the screw of the lock of the toilet 3) mirror in the toilet 4) open the microwave door to air out all the time.. 5) claen the inner side of the microwave until all the smell and residue is clear.. 6) Fan or heater to dry out clothes faster in the hanging area.. 7) The sliding door at the entrance is a bit not smooth... 8) Number passcide can be use to enter and leave the premise.. Or mayb some type of scanning or pressing mechanism.. So it is easier for traveller and the staff to enter and leave the premise without have to lock and unlock the sliding door after midnight..

Lights in female dorm are exactly over your head (very close to top bunk bed) so if someone turns them on while sleeping you will be woken up

The bathroom area is very basic.

Staff were helpful, it was clean and a good place to stopover if diving around semporna. Close to the bus station and not far to walk to the centre.

The walls of the rooms are really thin and our room was near the eating area. As a lot of people go diving, it was noisy during the morning. If you stay in the hostel without going diving and want to get some sleep, it's best you take some good earplugs 😉.

We stayed here one night before and one night after our diving trip to Mabul Island. The owners are really kind and want you to have a good time in the hostel (they helped us with arranging a bus, finding good local restaurants...). It's also close to the waterfront if you need to catch an early boat from the jetty. A small breakfast was also included, which is nice if you need to catch the early boat or bus.

The host is very nice and helpful and does everything, that you feel welcome. He also helped me with booking tours, bus,... The position of the hostel is pretty good, just 3 minutes walk to the bus station, 5 minutes walk to the jetty for getting a tour.

Best and cheapest place to stay in Semporna, the beds are big and comfy and you can turn the AC on and off as you please. The people who work here are super nice too. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay for a few nights. The owner lives there himself and is constantly taking care of everything. Very friendly and clean. Small local breakfast in the morning for self service. Clean washrooms and well working AC system if you like. You’ll meet all kind of different people there, some backpackers, divers and also locals. Very fair price-performance ratio! Particularly in the dorms. we had a double bed room, because I’m a bit bigger and need a bigger bed, also very fair priced! Totally recommend this place!!

The hostel was great with arranging for a late airport pickup for much cheaper than anything else. Spent a night here before heading to Mabul Island and it worked out. It's amazing that they include breakfast for that price. The companies they recommend for tours and diving are good companies and the prices are amongst the cheapest in all of Semporna.
