Having a microwave and washing machine would be nice. Also bear in mind that it’s on the other side of the river to Kuching city centre. It’s quite easy to cross between the two sides by boat (1 ringgit) and the jetty is a short walk from the guesthouse, but boats stop operating at 6pm. Crossing the pedestrian bridge is possible but the total walk from the waterfront to the guesthouse is about 45 minutes (and Apple Maps gives a wrong route) so, a grab is the best option (less than 10 ringgit).

I booked a three night stay that I ended up extending for four more nights! From the start, Zack was a great host. He offered to pick me up from the airport for the same rate as a Grab, but rather than taking me straight to the guesthouse, he gave me a tour around the city and we stopped for dinner on the way! One day I went to the laundry and it started raining heavily, I get a message from Zack offering to come pick me up (for free)! Throughout my stay, Zack would check to see if I needed anything and he provided me with lots of suggestions for things to check in and around Kuching and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations as well as the conversations with the other guests in the communal kitchen.

The beds were a little hard but this wasn't too much of a problem and the property is very close to the Mosque, so you'll probably get woken up by the prayers each morning.

The host was very helpful and made sure that I got the most from my trip even when the weather was preventing me from doing what I wanted to do. His tours are well priced and he was an informative guide. I got to see lots of things that I wasn't initially planning to do, which was a very nice addition to my trip :) he includes breakfast and lunch in his tours and introduces you to local food to try. I was very happy with the location, I didn't mind crossing the river most days and it was quite close to a lot of things that I wanted to see. Towels and toiletries are provided. The shower is hot and he provides cold or hot drinking water for free. His cats were super cute as well, they were very friendly

Found it a little inconvenient on the boat for a ride across the river as I have a leg injury.

Had a very enjoyable, relaxing stay at Jazepuri Guest House, in Kuching. The accommodations are very spacious and clean, I had a nice view of the garden. The area surrounding Jazepuri was very friendly and had many conversations with the locals when I was out walking. Zach and his wife were very helpful, and are excellent hosts. We went out for breakfast together and to a local market. Which I enjoyed immensely. I hope to get back there in 2023 and visit some of the many interesting places, surrounding Kuching.
