We were really hoping to say hello to the cats while we were there but there was some kittens that were being introduced and so we couldn’t play with them - one of the main reasons we booked it was because of the cats but understandable given the situation.

We loved our 1 night stay here. The family who runs it is very friendly and has a lot of advice about local things to do. They allowed us to leave our bags all day since we had a late bus. They offer coffee and tea and there is a whole kitchen and fridge for leftovers. Bathrooms were clean too.

The rooms in main have no windows out into the fresh air which was fine for me for a few nights but worth knowing if it's important to you.

Located right in the centre of Melaka, this is truly is a gem of a hostel. It is 2 minutes from the fabulous weekend night market and you can walk around this lovely neighbourhood with ease and come back to the hostel for a quiet rest. There is a lovely set of communal areas on both the ground floor and first floor with sofas and a kitchen. You can also sit out on a balcony and watch the funky themed tourist bicycles go by! The rooms are basic but comfy and the wifi works well for both zoom calls and internet activity. It was a good base for remote working. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and helpful making it a really enjoyable experience. It was also innovative to walk past all the cats in the cat hotel at the bottom of the hostel as well. I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked it but it far exceeded my expectations and I was very glad to have chosen it. Highly recommend!

Guesthouse is right in the city center which is very important if you plan to walk to the main attractions. Owners are so friendly and helpful, room was clean and nicely decorated. I really like it and will stay here for my next visit to Melaka.

Fifie is a great owner and super nice person. She helped us a lot with our onwards travel plans way beyond what could be expected. Despite that it´s a great location for a hostel and despite my cat hair allergy I could stay without problems as the cats live in a seperate room. Also late check in was made possible by Fifie.

No microwave for reheating food. Jonker Walk closes for cars 3 nights a week. So if you need a taxi then, it's best to walk 2 mins to the bridge and get picked up or dropped off there.

Cats They own 8 cats, who are super cuddly so you always get cuddles when you go in the cat room. Staff Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help me. Location/Sights You're in the middle of the tourist sights. Restaurants everywhere and 2 mins from the river. There's a wall of sightseeing suggestions with QR codes for their locations. Comfort Beds were very comfortable Large lockers in the room. There's many communal areas for meeting people. I met Malaysians and international travellers. Dining room, 2 lounges, balcony and car room. Lovely balcony where you can see Jonker Walk. Surprised how quiet it is, even standing outside while the night market is on.

Its a perfect place if you want to relax. I love the cats in this guest house. They are all so cute and clingy. The owner is very nice. He assist us during our stay. Everything is accessible to this place. I met fellow travellers and became my friends. I will come back here for sure :)

The hosts were both extremely nice and helpful, location is perfect. Nice to hangout with the cats if you want, if you don’t that’s fine as well they are in a separate room inside the guest house, you don’t have to enter if you don’t want to (I recommend doing it though 😜). I had my bus later than checkout time and could leave my bags at the place without any problem. 100% would recommend staying here!

Like a home away from home. Spacious and well equipped kitchen, with tea and coffee available, boiling water and cold filtered water. The cats are gorgeous,and the wee kitten will snuggle up to you. Very friendly and helpful guy. Great location, less than a minutes walk to Jonker Street. Netflix too.

Air freshner in cozy tv room might be a bit much for chemical sensitive guests, but it smelt very nice. Blankets provided might be more comfy if they were larger and softer.

Hosts are very hospitable. Just reopened recently with new owners. Place is very clean, muslim friendly, not a party place, free wifi, half block from Jonker Walk night market and some stores for food and shopping open during the day. Also very close to river for cruises, Dutch Fort, Clock Tower, trishaw rides, money changer, popular malls, local public bus stop, yet just a bit far enough to be quiet.

Nothing bad to say - everything was great for this budget.

The staff were so lovely and our daughter had the best time playing with the cats! The location is perfect - right next to Jonker Street. We already miss staying here and would gladly stay again if visiting Melaka! Thank you Fifie and family for a wonderful stay!

got cat hotel downstairs , u can enter n play with them !! staff was very helpful n friendly, they even suggested me places to visit :) if u go on weekends jonker street is only 3mins walk .. they even provide towels n soap/shampoo in the washroom :D
