All very good for a jungle outdoor type of experience but bear in mind this is not a hotel .

Location-not on the river but close enough - a short walk. Good selection of activities. Guides excellent. Nice common area. Good meeting fellow travellers.

We were lucky the chalet adjoining us was empty for 3 of our 4 nights but on that last night you could hear every movement next door. It is not a 5 star resort it is a homely friendly and comfortable stay. Not on the river (a short walk away)

The staff and fellow guests made our stay. The set up is communal with all guests eating at the same time. The internet only works in this communal space. Turning that negative into a positive means it is a gathering place not only at mealtimes but at all times and people get to know each other. Spotlessly clean throughout, nice beds and pillows, good air con in the chalets. Food loving prepared by a Filipino lady, buffet style . A variety of activities on offer and flexible. Khai a great guide, very knowledgeable.

The lodge is lovely but the food was very limited and not tasty.

The rooms were comfortable. We had very nice driver who picked us up from Sepilok. His knowledge about Malaysia and wildlife was pretty impressive. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name. It was a pleasure to drive with him.

There was no kettle in the room as advertised, and a small fridge in room would have been handy.

Easy to find and central for all river cruises which you could book on arrival, staff were welcoming and interacted well with all guests, I would stay there again.

Facilities are basic, but that’s not really why you stay somewhere like this!

The river safari was absolutely amazing. It’s a small walk to the pier from the lodge but we managed to see elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, loads of birds and even 2 orangutans! Kai was an excellent tour guide.

WiFi didn’t work the whole time, basically consider non - existent, but they are in the middle of the jungle! Also I wouldn’t bother with the night walk, it wasn’t a proper trail and this wasn’t shared when we booked. After doing the RDC night walk in Sepilok this was pretty disappointing

Spacious comfy room with very effective air conditioning. Staff were very accommodating and attentive. Must do as many river cruises are possible - we saw the most during the day. 5 minute walk to the river from the lodge. Shoutout to the 2 guys who ran all the activities, we were impressed with their knowledge and their ability to spot so much! Food was really good and made fresh.

The staff was/is extremely friendly and helpful as someone already mentioned 12 out of 10 in the ranking. Bobot our guide needs a special mentioning, very knowledgeable about the animals, and a fun person to be with. The driver to got us to the Lodge SAHA, already explained a lot about Sabah and the Lodge, very helpful. It should be mentioned, you are in a Lodge in the middle of nowhere, don't expect.a 5star Hotel

There isn't a menu to choose from.

We did 4 cruises with this hotel and saw all of Borneo's big 5 and much much more! Our amazing guide was enthusiastic and passionate about wildlife. He is also very respectful of the animals. The accommodation was an experience in itself set up a hill surrounded by nature. We loved it. There are rooms closer to the restaurant which we was supposed to stay in but I asked if we could go a little further away for more privacy. Glad they accommodated us!

Is not easy to look for food, especially children. There's no restaurant nearby as the resort is isolated. Without transport will be hard. Suggest to confirm and pre-arrange meal with resort before visiting.

The property is in a small village near the river.You have to walk about 500m to the boats. The staff are nice , but I felt that some of the offered tours , they discouraged you from participating in.

Though not necessary, it is much easier to take part in the activities organised by the lodge. They are well done (we did many boat tours, went on a night walk and enjoyed batik painting) but each activity is added onto the bill. Though I was aware of the situation beforehand, it still came as a bit of a surprise that some things were not included. For instance, lunches and dinners cost extra but were quite necessary because there was nowhere else to eat.

The staff are so lovely and friendly - they made our stay comfortable. The staff guides are knowledgeable and fun, and take the time to answer questions and show you animals and things specific to Borneo.
