Bathroom too small. No shelf or bench to put luggage. TV is too small and placed too high up on the wall. My room window faces the common patio.

Good location. Walking distance to many tourist attractions. Many eateries within walking distance. 711 just next door. Staff is super friendly, efficient and helpful. Room is of good size for solo traveller. Bed is comfortable. TV could connect to YouTube and I believe Netflix as well.

The location was exceptional and it was easy to navigate to many attractions. The hotel and room is clean and the staffs were helpful and friendly. We always had a clean room with clean towels when we returned to our room at the end of the day. 👍🏻😊

Noise insulation is always the bane of the cheap Malaysian hotel. Traffic noise, especially if you're in a room close to the road – in the absence of double glazing, the sound of motorcycles and lorries at night can be extremely intrusive, as can the sound of reception staff talking (if you're on the same floor as reception). I checked out after two nights rather than extend my stay because of the noise problem. The bathrooms are tiny (again, typical for this class) so that the shower is practically next to the toilet and not in a cubicle of its own, so expect the jet to go everywhere when you do shower. Also Wi-Fi can be weak unless you're close to your room door (also not unusual for this class of hotel). And the only electricity socket near the beds was quite high up, so without a longish charging cable your phone would be dangling just over the bed.

The Kuching hotel is a typical Malaysian no-frills budget hotel. It's well located in the city centre, close to various restaurants, and was renovated during the pandemic, though it's very plain to look at and already slightly worn in places.

Toilet was too small, this it was wet all the time. My room was next to the Main Street and reception, hence our stay are constantly disrupted by noise and we couldn’t sleep well.

Sofie - the front desk staff, is the best personnel and valuable to the hotel - he is friendly, empathetic and put in extra step to make sure our stay are as comfortable as possible.
