We enjoyed every bit of it, but if you expect 5 star luxury you might need to reconsider. This is more rustic luxury.

The swimming pool and the lily pond were amazing! Fascinating architecture and history of the buildings. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. Location was very central and you couldn't hear the planes at night. It's an oasis in the suburbs of the main town!

The air conditioning could be improved. Luckily they have provided several fans to beat the heat.

The resort is situated in a developing area, with construction all around. You need to get a ride everywhere or do a 40-minute walk to the town. This is all fine except that the description did not say this, in fact it stated beach access which is almost 1h walk. The restaurant was not open for dinner, which was inconvenient as there were no other options in the area. It opened a 1pm and last order by 4.30 pm. The website states full dinner service which we found not accurate. The food was delicious and it is a shame that they don't have it open. We saw several guests being sent away, including ourselves, during our 5 day stay, because they did not want to have the restaurant open. They definitely miss out on a lot of business this way.

Beautiful site, pond and pool. Very tranquil and beautiful. Food was excellent and authentically local.

Dinner was okay… beef rendang was amazing Chicken satay was not.

Attention to detail.. quirky Amazing buildings and rooms Pooool was amazing!!! Way better than pictures Yes there is an airport near by.. but other than 3 quiet flights and one loud one we barely noticed it. don’t complain that’s you probably got here It’s like eating meat but not being prepared to see the animal killed… You flew here. But don’t want the noise to be your discomfort

The breakfast wasn’t great, cheap buffet style food. Not many healthy options available. The food available at the restaurant also very basic. Check in felt very rushed, I was given a drink and a towel but before I could finish with either of them I was asked to produce my passport and ushered to my room whilst juggling both of these items. This could have been way more relaxed. There was lots of loud bangs coming from around the property at night, and planes flying overhead which woke us up. We also had to put a towel over one of the glass windows in our room because an external security light was shining in through the window. They ask for a security deposit in cash when you arrive, which just feels strange and outdated. It’s no big issue as 100ringgit isn’t a lot, tbh I’m not sure what it would even cover in terms of damages. However it’s annoying when you go to leave Malaysia and you’ve then got 100 ringgit in cash being given back to you that you would have liked to have spent but now have no use for. They have my credit details from booking.com so I’m not sure if it felt needed. The toiletries provided in bottles in the shower contained essentially just watered down soap… which wasn’t refilled at all during our stay. Investing in some actual body wash to put in these and checking them regularly would be nice.

The swimming pool is lovely. Really unique and surrounded by wildlife, birds and we even saw otters! The lobby aesthetic is so pretty! Staff were friendly enough, and the rooms were clean. We rented a moped which was useful because you’re not super close to the beach here. But grab was also easily available. The rooms are very unique and pretty with the wooden style buildings. We felt very safe here leaving our possessions etc. We overall had a good stay, and loved Langkawi so much!

The room was a bit hot even using two air cons when it’s during a hot season

The villa was very nice! With nice outside shower and bathtub. And the stuff was kind. Even we checked out they accept us to use outside shower and pool after our activity tour.

Because of the wooden structure, the villa doesn’t have much soundproof. If you are a very light sleeper, be cautious about this. During weekdays, breakfast is served in a buffet style, which is not as good as its weekend set menu. There is not much high protein food options in the buffet.

The resort is actually quite small but full of natural landscape decoration. All the small villas in the resort are in similar traditional wooden style, which provide an authentic sense of local accommodation. The staff are quite nice and customer-oriented. The breakfast at weekends is exceptionally great with authentic Malaysian taste and fresh fruit. Also, the cat Kenny is friendly to every guest.

If we had to pick a negative we did struggle to read in our room as they aren’t very well lit! But we are over 60 so might be just an age thing! I also panicked when the birds were walking on the ratan ceiling until I worked out they couldn’t get into the room!

We loved the magical pool set amongst water lilies, the wonderful buildings, the staff and the whole set up. To spend a day relaxing by the pool side and watch the kingfisher was truly lovely. There are many places to sit around the site, colourful cushions and the cafe food was lovely. The staff were gentle and caring. We were so lucky as we had the place almost to ourselves! Mosquito spray was left for use in the room and we had no bites. Ear buds might be good as call to prayer was early and often (as is normal in Malaysia)

The location was a bit far from the beaches but they can just call you a taxi and it is not expensive.

These are really beautiful villas, and the swimming pool area is just like from some kind of fairy tale with the lotuses surrounding it. But for us what made it really special was the staff, especially Buddy. They were super helpful, kind and made our stay really pleasant.

Lack of natural sunlight in the bedrooms (but we spent most of the day out by the pool anyway!) Some plumbing issues in one of the bathrooms - slow draining shower and leaky bath.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the lovely gentleman who checked us in at the front desk. Breakfast was delicious and offered lots of options. The villa was exactly as pictured, super comfortable beds and extremely spacious.

Near to the airport, could hear the airoplanes but not often/too bothersome

We loved the place! Absolutely stunning. Rustic, Perak heritage houses turned into spacious villas, beautifully and thoughtfully designed and curated, surrounded by lush green vegetation and wooded area with coconut trees and mangrove wetland. Waking up to the sounds of nature was one of the highlights, and the good breakfast. Staff were attentive, friendly, and informative especially Rais and Aiman.

Hot water is unstable and too cold to take a bath

    1. There is nothing near the accommodation, so you have to use Grab to go anywhere. 2. You can also order food from their restaurant in the afternoon, and it’s not very expensive. 3. I really like the atmosphere of their breakfast, it has a country and leisurely feel.
