I don't usually leave lengthy reviews, but this was the worst check in experience I've ever had. The hotel lobby is not open anymore, while their booking page fails to mention this or to include the new address of the lobby. They sent me a message about charging my card, so someone actually had time to do that, but couldn't include one simple line about checking in at Penang Hotel Collection on another street. I arrived in the pouring rain to the closed lobby with two notifications on the door - one saying they moved the lobby, another one saying the staff left for a moment and will be back soon. Which one are you supposed to believe? I tried calling the number provided, but since the hotel is right on a very busy road it was impossible to hear much because of the traffic noise. So I had to walk in the rain - imagine if I didn't have Internet and didn't know where to go since there were no people around - around three or four blocks to finally check in. Then I found out their door lock system is somewhat peculiar and not the most practical for guests - you have to find a dial and then enter a long code every time you go in. Very inconvenient. It's sad because the apartments are great actually, if not for the heavy noise from outside, which is less noticeable in the back bedroom. Other reviews mentioned weird smell when AC is working - it's true.

Could use a bit of renovation for cracks on the walls. But it doesn't affect the stay itself. So, nothing to be bothered about.

We came here after a terrible experience at Bayview Resort Hotel where we had to cancel our stay and switch the hotels. This place was the same money but totally different experience! Very private. Large room with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living room. Well air conditioned. The location was great! Easy check in and check out. Everyday we were asked about housekeeping services. We had a washing machine as well. Walking 15-20 min to downtown. We really enjoyed our stay.

Dryer wasn’t working well but staff handled it well and had it sorted for us. Not a negative point but if you have young kids you might want to avoid this as the apartment is a walk-up on the second floor with no safety gate.

We were a family of four and the space was sufficiently large. Just one toilet though, so we had to take turns to use it. The hotel is right at the main road so if you are sensitive to sound , you might want to avoid this hotel as the vehicle noises can get very loud. It didn’t bother us though. Toilet was clean enough, beds were comfortable enough, staff were friendly and helpful. The apartment was sufficiently equipped with washing machine, fridge, kettle, induction cooker, microwave. Location is alright if you’re taking grab everywhere.

1. More than 20 days has passed , still haven’t received the deposit. Message sent on booking but no response. Will need to contact Booking. 2. Except for the deposit, the amount they charge is different from what’s shown on the booking page. They will ask you to pay extra 2-5rm offline for other reasons (no extra services) 3. The road with huge traffic is right beside the room, very noisy.

Nothing. But there are so many cars driving in front of the entrance, so please be careful.

Rooms and accommodations are perfect, much better than I have expected. It was so comfortable space for me to stay there because the room is like a very luxury condominium. Moreover, receptionist is really really nice and friendly man, having good personality and attitude to the guests. If I have a chance to be back to George Town, I will choose to stay here again.

Lack of care from rude, inattentive staff. Property was tired, dirty and lots of broken flooring and really grubby walls. Really really noisy from the traffic l, the boiling shook when traffic went by. Asked for our room to be turned over and it wasn’t. No sound insulation from the downstairs door which ment the whole property was extremely noisy. Air con really smelt when it was out on so not sure where it was drawing air from, smelt smoky and dirty. Also quite a way out of the town. There are far better places to stay. Avoid

The front room was very loud due to the traffic outside, so much so that the room shook when large trucks drove by.

For 2 nights over 600 MYR, I expected more from this hotel. I only get 1 bedroom with 1 bed for 3 of us. So, my 8 years old has to share the bed with us. The hotel refused to provide any bedding, not even a blanket, so at night 3 of us have to fight for the bedding. Other than the hotel have no parking and facing the street with noise at night, the hotel amenities are not fully functioning. The glass door is half way stuck, the basket in shower is broken. The washer is nice, but no clothes racket on balcony. The air conditioning in living room and bedroom blow cold air directly on my head which gives me headaches after 2 days stay.

Location is good, plenty of market and shopping around it.

2 levels shop house building with room at level 2 which need to climb stairs. Along a main road which can be busy and noisy. Some of the facilities (shower head, shower door) are old and need maintenance.

Spacious room. Equipped with washing cum dryer machine which is very useful. Location is walking distance to 2 malls and a famous street food area.

1. Only 1 toilet for 2 rooms (fit 4-5 pax), water heater does not work too well. 2. Property maintenance need improvement, the cupboard light in master bedroom stay ON at all time and could be seen despite cupboard doors closed. 3. Rooms: No sound-proof, the location right by the roadside means traffic noise since early morning to late night. 4. No designated parking for the hotel but public parking could be found easily. No designated place to drop passenger which could post some safety issue.

Location, walking distance to Georgetown's attractions. Apt amenities are available (fridge, washer/dryer).
