    Nice social hostel

the beds are a bit short ( could be a problem if you are 1,90cm) but it's just a very small minus

Really nice place to socialize with people, daily free trekking tours where you can easily connect with people . Every bed had their own fan. Very clean place.

More to do with the whole town, but I think accommodation plays a role. Although there are set trails, no one seems to maintain them and they are not always marked. There is trash in most places around the town and even in the river/waterfall. As a community in Pahang, there should be more drive to keep it beautiful.

The accommodation is very close to restaurants and tour guides fetch you from outside the front door. There is information about set trails that can be followed and meeting people at the hostel to hike with is really easy. The internet is decent.

    - no soap provided in the showers - hand soap provided was overly diluted it was basically water - laundry service was on the pricier side

    - excellent location - really cute set up, esp bunks with the window option - toilets were clean, multiple showers & hairdryers to a room

Overall a nice hostel, but noisy rooms and little social space
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Single Bed in Mixed Dormitory Room (With Window)
    • Stayed 2 nights

As with most hostels, it's impossible for people to enter the room and their bed quietly. Primarily due to the noisy curtains in front of each bed, but also the room door and bathroom door. With so many people in a room, it guarantees some noise late at night and/or early in the morning. Only three small communal/social spaces.

Staff are nice and helpful. Location is near the middle of town. Wifi worked well. Organizing a group hike each day is a nice way to facilitate people meeting each other, although the hike itself is pretty underwhelming.

The bigger dorms lacked privacy, anyone can wander in from outside the hostel during the day and go through your things (they don’t even need to go past the office)! Especially since the main entrance to the hostel is left open during the day. I think putting a door and a lock on the entrance(s) to the dorms would be best. They do a daily group walk on the 10-6 trail. We couldn’t join the group, so I asked one of the staff if it was alright to do with sneakers (no hiking boots), and only moderate hiking experience. I was told yes, that would be fine… it was certainly not fine! Really don’t recommend the trail without hiking boots and proper equipment. It was extremely slippery and dangerous on the way down, we had to go extremely slowly, and still my boyfriend fell and cut him quite badly. Later, when I found the path on all trails absolutely everyone was saying it was a dangerous walk to do in sneakers. Please make sure to give accurate information in the future!!

Great location, good facilities- I loved that my bed came with an individual window and fan!

The bedding was not the best: the mattress are too thin. There is a house rule that imposes curfew in every area (both social then private) after 11 pm: although I understand the reason why, it was a real buzzkill. The hike proposed by the hostel as a "free guided" is not really guided and it is challenging (or definetely not for everybody) - it should be advised with caution.

The hostel is super social and the structure is such that travellers can run into each other while chilling. The volounteers were super nice and helpful and the structure is top notch in terms of facilities.

The largest rooms were very stuffed full and may not have enough toilets however we didn't experience this so can't really speak on it!

Nice room, got upgraded to the 8 person room as the larger rooms were a bit full. Had an ensuite in the room but more toilets downstairs if necessary. Organised hikes every day and provided maps + help with permits.

    Nothing!:D

Amazing hostel, easy 10/10! You have your own sleeping compartment (with window!), including light, power supply, etc. Laundry, towels, kitchen, etc available. Plenty of showers and toilets. Amazing hosts, amazing visitors, and an amazing dozen of local volunteers that keep everything super clean! Furthermore, the hostel is great for meeting new people. You easily find a hiking group for your days here!

I'd recommend paying a little extra for a bed with a window because I didn't and it got quite warm and stuffy during the night. I only had a tiny fan, and when the curtain is closed air doesn't circulate well. I got what I paid for so no complaints, just a recommendation for future visitors.

Incredible value for the money!!! Clean comfy rooms, great location and helpful and friendly staff. I 100% recommend staying here. There is a female only dormitory but I, a solo female traveler, stayed in the mixed dorms and felt incredibly safe regardless.

Not a negative but be aware they're very strict about taking off shoes at the entrance.

Great bed. Very comfy. Bathrooms were very clean and regularly cleaned. The facilites were great. Lots of social spaces. Every day they organise hiki buddies to do the popular hike, which is good. We didn't do it due to the weather but I know others had a blast. There is a coffee shop open from 2pm there which had nice teas. We also did the half day tour and booked through the hostel. This was the highlight of our time here as our tour guide was excellent. Location was excellent. Cute kittens in their own little pen. You can also book onward travel with them which is helpful.

    - I had window bed and sometimes I could smell food from the street - no proper doors to the rooms (rooms are by the coffee place so it’s quite loud at least until 10 pm) but they provide free earplugs - kittens have bells on their neck (it might have negative effect on their mental and physical health) - it’s a pity that the lockers are so small. In most of the hostels I can fit my big backpack inside the locker. Here, I could fit only the most valuable items and the rest I kept on a shelf) - if you’re a hiking person, I don’t want to disappoint you but you need to get permit or/and a guide to hike almost all the trails in Cameron Highlands. It’s not fault of the hostel but it’s sad to see how difficult they’re making it for nature lovers

Probably the best hostel I’ve ever been to - comfy bed - private plug, light, fan by the bed - privacy curtains - hair dryers in the toilet - my room had access to little balcony where I could dry my wet clothes - window by bed (I could watch fireworks for Chinese New Year from my bed) - nice common zones (including coffee place, kitchen with fridge and movie room) - excellent WiFi (good enough to watch videos and make video calls) - cute cats (before letting them out to common zones, they make sure that people there don’t have any allergies) - very clean - many showers and toilets (for 2 mixed rooms. I’ve heard that in another room they had only one toilet which might be problematic) - locker by each bed - friendly staff - they help you organise hiking groups to do the 10&6 trekking path (if you download maps.me and their instructions, you should not have any problems finding the paths) - I liked the blanket (very nice and soft. Hopefully also washed after each person) - close to many restaurants and supermarkets

Since the hostel has no real „door“ the smoke from people went all inside the room.

They arrange daily group-hikes which makes it so easy to get in contact with other traveler :) good location!

the room i stayed in only had one shared shower and toilet. I heard some of the other rooms had 2 shared bathrooms.

it was a clean place, large lockers, you provide your own lock. the beds where comfortable enough. it was a very nice hostel, in a great area. you can walk to it from the bus station in less than 10 minutes. they even coordinate a group hike in the morning to one of the better trails in the area.

cramped in the dorm rooms, a bit busy for my liking and almost entirely occupied by westerners (including myself!). **No fault of the hostel** but the whole town is like an open sewer / rubbish dump an is pretty disgusting overall, even the nature trails / waterfalls are full of bags of trash. don't come here for nature.

well organized, well cleaned, use of kitchen, little workout/yoga room (assuming no-one is watching netflix, also in same room).
