If you're craving for interactions with other travellers, I don't think this is the place for you - a hostel would suit you better. There is no toothbrush and toothpaste provided in the guesthouse, as it's not a hotel, so bring your own. I could not find a water dispenser in the accommodations also, so that's another small downside.

I like the central location, at the heart of Georgetown, with amazing food options in the morning. The rooms are quiet, and the bathrooms are kept clean. Room space is sufficiently big, air-con is strong and WiFi is great as well. If you're a couple and looking for a cheap place to stay, My Guesthouse 109 is the place for you. If you love cats, just stay here.

Great location of the guest house, super cute pets, everything very clean and an incredibly helpful host (May) make this a perfect stay in George Town. Disregard what people say about the cats meowing, only one of them is actually curious, and if she likes you, she’d maybe meow once to see if you’ll let her in, but that’s it. No disturbances of any kind! Thank you May for the great stay!

Where do I begin? The location was great. There are free bicycles. Full kitchen facilities including free drinking water, washing machine etc. The entire place, including the shared bathroom, was incredibly clean. Probably the cleanest place I've stayed in south east Asia. WiFi was super fast so I could work there. The BEST part: the additional house guests, 5 cats, 1 rabbit, a turtle and fish! The cats were super friendly and love to chill all day.

Had an amazing time. May, the owner is very helpful. And the maid is so friendly, had a good conversation. Free bike, affordable price, good location,lovely cat. Definitely will comeback whenever I visit George Town.

The guesthouse located close to the most famous food/drink. The owner of this property welcome me like a family, she is friendly and helpful, most importantly I felt like home during my stay. I love to have the cat around, cute clean and chubby ☺️☺️😂. Thank you for the room, it’s very clean neat and tidy. On top of that.. Thank you very much to let me refresh myself meanwhile waiting to check in. Overalls.. I love guesthouse 109.

If we could have one complaint it would be that it was sometimes loud when people would walk past the door. But this would not stop me from coming back in any way. Loved it here.

We loved the room and the shower. Very spacious and heat setting in the shower was great. We loved hanging out with the cats as well. The kitchen was a great bonus along with the filtered water and the ability to do our laundry. Highly recommend this place. And would definitely come back.

I found this place to be very clean, comfortable and perfectly sized for one to two people. The shared bathroom was excellent. You could tell that May's cleaner Yuni made sure that the guesthouse is very clean although there's a few cats staying inside the same house. Furthermore, May clearly explained the area, and also arranged a taxi for me from guesthouse to the airport after I checked out in the early morning. The price, I honestly think this is a bargain. I am looking forward to staying here again on day.

We loved our stay at My Guesthouse 109. The guesthouse itself is gorgeous, our room was clean and comfortable and the shared bathroom was clean and well looked after. It was incredibly helpful to be able to use the washing machine and the cats were adorable. May gives you plenty of warning about the soundproofing of the rooms from the listing and we had one neighbour who was very heavy footed when walking past our room. Personally I sleep through everything and my partner wore earplugs in the night so no issues for us.

The only thing we did not completely like it that one cat tried to enter our room after midnight and scratched the paws on the door. Fortunately she decided to stop when we opened the door ;)

Very clean and cosy. Very good facilities. Totally independent check in. Maybe it would be great to have some infos about the tourist center/heritage center at the front desk.

-No soundproof but it's okay for us because it was mention earlier on before check in -May's and staff will be around on certain time but she is very responsive and can be reach by WhatsApp

There isn’t negative I can think about it because they wrote very details and email before I check in about the bad scenario in house about soundproof and other small details.

The bed and small little room are very comfortable and cozy, the mattress and the Wi-Fi both are very strong. I have a room with a window without sunlight as what was mention by the owner in description and picture but I have really good sleep during my stay here because my house mate very respectful and follow the quiet hour rule at night. The plus I would says is they have free flow drinking water and free washing machine to used and washing powder as well. They do prepare free coffee and tea at the small pantry area which I can have some refreshments at all time. The double plus is the cats in house, owner cats are very friendly and got one special one which name Latte will always come to me and ask for attention during day and night. The cleaner clean the shared toilet a few time during a day so it’s sparkling clean. I will definitely come back again.

I truly love this place! What a gem. The location is great, walking distance to great restaurants and cafes. I love how comfy the room and the bed was! Internet connection was okay, still good for working remotely. And there a lot of cute fluffy cats, they're everywhere. :) May was also very accomodating, thank you! This is a great place if you want to stay in the heart of Georgetown. The house is also beautifully designed and decorated. I got natural light (if you open the window, you'll see a beautiful well downstairs). The room is also spacious. Lovely house! I'll be back.

Mirror above the sink would be nice so I could shave

The ambiance from extending vines into the turtle well is alone worth it. You then look towards the floor and notice the kitties. Each with their own personality and protected from the feral environment outside. Clean kitchen environment and washing facilities. The WiFi is strong as the mattresses. The quaint and quiet environment lulls you to sleep in a strong air-conditioned room. I would stay there again without a doubt... Just for the late night tap of self proclaimed Rufus' paw tapping at the door - for some late night cuddles. An awesome place!

Internet was bad and unreliable. Wasn't sure about the fridge and kitchen rules on what was communal and what was not. Not ideal if you're alone in terms of getting into town and back, it's not too far but still can be a bit unsettling

Loved the cats and the rabbit! Was a really nice welcome whenever I came back The place was always clean, quiet, and relaxing. The room was simple but very comfortable and had everything I needed
