How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Had to contact via Whatsapp to book gym and squash court, could be slightly cleaner with noticeable neglected spots of dust (but my allergies didn't really flare up so it's good!), some ants but not a lot, provided drinks and snacks but they're actually extra so you have to read the notice on the fridge carefully, the traffic on the weekends can be crazy here but we avoided it thankfully, toilets have a distinct smell and one fragrance thing was provided to help with that - we just kept the bathroom doors closed
Gym with AC, proper squash court, very responsive owner via Whatsapp, clean, spacious, easy check-in, easy check-out, provided enough toilet paper and rubbish bags, two bathrooms, strong water pressure, desk with chair for work, fast internet and wifi, covered and easy parking (use visitors entrance) though have to go round and round to get to L4-6, lifts were generally fast

We loved the location of the property as it was very near to the tourist attractions. Very big and spacious and the pool table in the dining room was a great family activity. The management was very helpful and responsive and did their best to accommodate our needs. Strongly recommend this property!

I would suggest a door stopper against the wall for each bedroom door. One of the single bed's mattresses needs to be changed.

There definitely should be hand soap in each bathroom. This is very important! The table soccer game was too small; it should say for children. It moves around if played by adults and hard for adults hands (in this case a teen boy found it hard to hold the handles as he has a tall/big frame). It is very awkward and a pain that you had to book ahead if you wanted to use the pool or gym. We didn't bother as that was an extra hassle, though one of the reasons we had booked this place was because it had a pool and gym - but we didn't know before this was a requirement.
Communicating with the host by WA was convenient, including finding the keys and parking for the car. The location was convenient as not far from the center of Melaka, including the Jonker street weekend market. Having a pool table in the living room meant the family could play as they wanted. Enough tissue paper was provided and bin bags. It was good that drinking water was provided in bottles as there was no water filter.

this place is like a resort, it has a pool table, table soccer and darts board inside the apartment. The swimming pool is massive, my kids enjoyed this apartment, I highly recommend this place.

The advertised facilities in the house was not there in real ex;the game cards,ps,Netflix and carrom board We booked based on the facilities for kids but only the pool table was available as advertised which is not used.
