How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Hard pillows, location is ok but noisy bars at night. Owner good man but prior to arrival I had some issues with very poor comunication with mr Cheah any questions get one word answers and I found it difficult to get answers to my questions. I changed my booling dates and when asked for confirmation I got one word replies, booking.com was showing no change in my booking. Eventually with booking.coms help the date changes were confifmed in the app.

Toilet need to be mire clean because room is small
Good location but we rent 2 room , but one room' toilet is smelly, BTW price is cheap.

One of the other guests were late and banging on their room next door. But this is hard to control.

As breakfast is not included in my package, so I enjoyed my breakfast at that restaurant nearby. BTW, many restaurant did not open yet before 9 am, I think they will operate their business after 10 am.

Absolutely, categorically, the worst WiFi internet in any hotel of any country that I've ever visited. Horrific internet connection, not stable whatsoever, always cutting out. Even my 4g stopped working when I got to the room after checking in haha. Please upgrade your WiFi supplier, your current one shouldn't even be allowed to sell WiFi/internet, better off using carrier pigeon, it'd be faster and more efficient 🤪
Good street food spots nearby, rooftop seating area, big room, got upgraded from windowless room to window room, very friendly staff, thank you 😊🙏😊

A bar or club is located next to the hotel. Because the walls are not particularly thick, it was therefore rather noisy. And the WIFI doesn't work.
Very friendly owner which allowed us to check in late, and helped us with requests. The beds were very comfortable, and the facilities were good.

room was full of ants!! mosquitos were coming in under the door so had to block the door. sheets were dirty

The wifi was difficult to connect to. And be ready with earplugs as there is a karaoke place next door.
The property is well located, with good restaurants and bakeries within easy walking distance, as well as stops for the various city buses you might be using to get around. The owner is super friendly and eager to talk and help out, he ended up giving us a free ride to the ferry at the end of our stay. On the roof there is a pleasant garden with tables where you can relax, which is a nice bonus in a big city. Overall decent value for what we paid.

Thin walls - I can hear people talking and walking along the corridor. It is also next to a karaoke lounge and the music can be heard till late at night, but can get used to it eventually.
It’s proximity to the centre of town therefore lots of food and closeness to shops. Room is basic but it is clean. Towels, shampoo and body wash provided.

The place is not bad but I don't think it's worth the money. The bathroom door wouldn't close The cleanliness of the room was more superficial, the water bottles were used, almost half empty but at some point they gave us new bottles.
The location is very good and the staff was friendly. Has a nice rooftop full of plants.
