Staff were super sweet and helpful, carrying my huge bag up and down the stairs for check in and check out. Breakfast and coffee in the cafe were absolutely delicious and really promptly prepared. The guest house and cafe have been extremely well constructed, tastefully designed to a really high standard, with beautiful tiling. Ample space to work if you need to - either in the room or large communal area.

It would be even better to have hooks or airer to hang towels near the bathroom and more place around the sink (or additional furniture) to put our stuff. Sad that the café does not open early enough in the morning to have breakfast in your place (we came for diner, and it was very good!)

The downside was because there was a construction going on in the morning plus there's a small clinic hospital right across the road so there's a lot people downstairs waiting on queue chattering aorund but overall I love the atmosphere.

Love the clean and comfortable environment, the staff are friendly plus it's quite nice they even have a cafe downstairs so you won't have to worry about getting hungry with nothing to eat. It's a great concept. Me and my brother have a good stay thank you for having us!

We wanted to check in one hour early and the staff just said it’s not possible without giving any reason. Obviously, we don’t have a right to this and when the official check in time was reached, we could enter the room, but it gave us the feeling that they just flat out refused out of principle. We have seen more guest friendly behavior elsewhere.

This is a nice property with modern facilities. The AC was working well and we overall really enjoyed our stay here.

The towels are a quite worn, would be nice if they are replaced with new or better ones. The construction for a new hotel is in its starting phase in front of the guesthouse so it would be quite noisy for the months ahead.

The guesthouse is very clean and comfortable, no carpets so no bad smell. The floor and bathroom/toilet well maintained. Water pressure for shower very strong. Shower cap, toothbrush, shampoo and shower gel provided. No loud noises from outside or next room, located on a quite street. Near town center and paid parking spaces available. The cafe on the ground floor provides good coffee and food. The staffs are very helpful and friendly.

NO lift. Sound insulation is not good.

It will be super greattt if the cafe open earlier (say 8am) to catch the breakfast crowd !!! Was dying to try out the food but ya knw, it’s Ipoh, I can’t slot in a breakfast session at the cafe because the trip is filled with food.

Very cute retro concept refurbished shop house (with cute BALCONIES )and ample space at common area (my room comes with direct access to the yard too!) Deal breaker was definitely the connecting cafe downstairs (they serve beer too until 11pm). Not to mention the location is just so near to everywhere! There are free bicycles for guests to ride around the historical town too.

Nice clean hotel, seems quite new with everything in good condition. Good location as easy to walk to several different resturants but also quiet. Staff really helpful. Good to have the cafe attached to the hotel as we had our breakfast here and a beer at night. I would recommend staying here.

nothing pops up

I stayed there for 6 nights. The room is the quietest one I've stayed in Malaysia and I got good sleep there. It's in a quiet neighborhood without bars or tourist shops. I like my balcony a lot. The host is super friendly and you can borrow very good bike from them. The bike is in good quality and very easy to ride. And it's nice to have good coffee just downstairs. And there're plenty of food options nearby.

There is no regular housekeeping, however I don't see this as a negative, just something to note. They'll gladly clean your room upon request.

I can't say enough about how great this place is. The facilities are very well-appointed, beautifully designed but simple. Rooms are super clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, the staff is so friendly and happy to help you any way they can. As a solo traveler, it checked all the boxes for the perfect guest house and six night stay in Ipoh. The coffee bar/restaurant has awesome food and coffee. Do try their Nasi Lemak with lemongrass chicken! Absolutely delicious. I ended up extending my stay three nights just because I enjoyed being here so much, and frankly didn't want to leave. Most of the sites in Ipoh are within a 10-15 minute walk or short Grab away. I wouldn't think twice about recommending this place to anyone visiting Ipoh for a few days.
