How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The hosts are amazing people , friendly and helpful , and make you feel welcomed! I love the room , it’s so clean and the towels are thick and good quality , the bed is very comfortable , makes me want to sleep more ! The toilet of cos, it’s very clean ! Very convenient to walk to the sea and places to eat !! Mr Goh explained in details which way to go , his info is so helpful !!!

Location was good. Nice and quiet in the evening Near to beach, shops, restaurants and bars. Bus stops right outside. .

Mattress was quite uncomfortable to sleep in. Walls were thin so we could hear people from the next room. Wifi gets slow at night.
Very close to the beach and eateries. The area of the motel and room itself is exceptionally clean. Shower has good water pressure. Staff is nice and helpful.

This is my 5th time or more I think staying here . The location/price is reasonable. Quiet and beautiful place. Owners are very kind and helpful. Rooms are simple with a/c,tv and private bathroom Perfect location..5-10 min walk to the beach lots of cafe and food Great motel for couple / family..easy parking too Highly recommended

Although there is a sign saying please be quiet after 10pm, some of the other guests didn't stay quiet. But it wasn't too bad.
The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean. Very simple and basic, but the beds were comfortable and the shower nice and hot. Easy access to the beach, with a bit of a walk along the main road. Close to plenty of places to eat.

The parking lot got holes here and there, but they covered it up with cones. 👍
Reception aunty soooo nice. She personally escorted us to the room and even opened up AC for me even though I said I would go out in a while. Room was nice and clean. Water dispenser provided.

the only water in the bath room is very slow.
The room is clean and environment is not noisy. we are requested extra pillow and bed sheet is without extra charge. customer services is good. well for budget hotel.

I liked everything! The owners were very helpful and gave me good information & also a map of places to go to. It was very clean & good wifi. Water dispenser for hot & cold along with coffee. I will come back again in the future!

They didnt called us back when they told us to wait. We waited for 3 hours bfore check in n when we came n ask abt the room ..they space out till they allowed us to check in .i think if we didnt go n ask abt the room ..maybe we will wait for another 3 hours?hehe overall was nice .

Nothing bad and not a complaint, but we could see monkeys from our room but had to have window open as glass opaque. Clear glass would have been great.
The hosts were superb. The accommodation was very clean and is maintained very well. Location superb and host showed us a map on arrival of key places to go. We saw the beautiful sunsets and the Long Beach food market was a 5 minute walk. We used the local bus to Georgetown and it cost under £1 for the 2 of us. No frills and fancies but excellent value for money and with the added lovely hosts I would highly recommend the motel.

The motel is situated at a busy main road ..just near the Shangri-La Rasa Sayang. Bus stop and taxi stand located in front of the motel. You can walk to nearby eateries including McD and Subway in 6min. Shops, 7Eleven, DIY also in 6min, Night market and Ferringhi Walk in 10min. By bus (101/102), Entopia and ESCAPE is just 16min away. Veranda@ smoking corner full of plants warmly welcomed me. The owners@ uncle and aunty were nice, friendly and very accommodating during my stay. Even upgraded my room for free. My room was clean, well lighted, standard basic budget size room with window. Comfy bed and clean bathroom.Water dispenser is at the front desk with free complimentary coffee or tea. Overall, good people, great location, comfy bed and well-rested.
