Super squeaky and annoying hinge sound from the lockers, which you have to open to plug your chargers. You try to keep quiet, but this probably wakes everyone up.

Better than I expected. It was comfortable and clean, with plenty of showers and toilets. Perfect for a night's stay. Wifi was good too.

all bathrooms are shared and not very clean. the cleanliness in general is poor but it is a low price in a good location. the breakfast is basic.

I stayed there for one night seems I will continue to travel to Thailand on the next day. However, I found the place is nearby with a variety of restaurants, the famous mosque (Masjid Kapitan Keling), the shopping mall (reachable by walking distance), and even nearby with bus stop (if you are traveling by public transport - bus). Not to forget, they provide breakfast too! So, that's great if you need a light breakfast before continue your journey and if you wish to explore Penang.

The location was strategic, walking distance to many places. Room shared with 4 beds, a bit small but considered comfortable and clean. They do provide simple breakfast like bread and fruits.

The staff is not so friendly and they don't know how to deal with customers. They don't give you any information about the hostel or the town and they barely show where is your room. Breakfast is simple but sometimes items finish and they are not replaced and when you ask they look at you as you are annoying them with silly questions. That happens with many different things in the hostel. The bathrooms of the first floor are very weird and in general not so clean, the water not always warm. The light in one of the bathroom was broken for our all stay. Wifi often doesn't work It has a lot of potential and it could be a very nice hostel if only they will put a little more care

The beds are good and comfortable. Every bed has is own locker and lights (not all of the them work though). It's in a very nice position in Little India and walking distance to everything. Breakfast is simple but nice. The price is good, probably the cheapest dorm but not room. We spent many days because of the Chinese new year and other festivities and it was the only available with a good price.

Terrible Wi-Fi, little to no cleaning in the bathrooms (the rear of the toilet near the base of the water tank was brown and remained so for the whole six days I was there - you can clearly see they never or very rarely scrub the toilet bowl, as its upper edge had lots of brown stains from splashing feces). The four person dorm was incredibly crammed, with barely enough space to stand and put your luggage. Never seen such a small dorm! Staff seemed bored, totally unmotivated and did not seem to care much about guests either. They did not even bother to change a malfunctioning light bulb in one toilet on the second floor for my entire stay. Despite the flaws, I enjoyed my stay there, but I feel the place could be much better. It has great potential, and just needs better management and more involvement from staff in terms of cleaning and service to guests.

Comfortable mattress, good showers, old building with lots of character. Breakfast is basic, but it's free and it's nice to be able to eat a little something before going out. I liked that there was free coffee and tea during the day, as well as filtered water. Very good location, not far from anything (jetty, Komtar, Little India, etc). Common area is not much, really. It could definitely be reorganized and improved.

The problem was there's one permanent tenant (think so.. will see him when every time l stay there) who will increase the dorm temperature to 26°C in middle of night (1am to 2am) even there's a good & warm blankets provided. If they want a hot room, ask him to get the private room & not the dorm. Tq
