i missed AC a bit, but eventually it was a good trade off for civilisation detachment

Very unique and nature friendly concept, the one which will allow you to switch off from your daily routine and go into the deep rest.

More comfortable chairs on the balcony would have been nice, so you could sit and enjoy the view for longer.

The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. The rooms were hut style which we really liked.

Set lunch and dinner - not my cup of tea. Food also seems to be a bit expensive considering what is served.

The statt is outstanding - super friendly and attentive, freels like staying with family and friends. The setting of the cottages is beautiful Easy access from the Jetty

Mosquitoes can be abit of an issue but don’t be me and bring the necessary repellents

You think you can’t survive without AC? Think again, you’re probably going to have the best sleep if you’re like me from KL

Would have been nice and more authentic if tourist are welcomed by locals or at least mix. Feels a bit awkward being greeted by all foreigners . They can work the other matter later once tourist are already onsite. Both local and foreign crew were great during our stay!

Great people running the place . Good location

From the chalets you reach the marvellous beach of this small tropical island within a few metres. The staff is awesome and has been very helpful and friendly. You can easily do different sports activities like snorkeling, diving and kayaking…even hiking through the jungle. :) We really enjoyed our stay at Rimba!!!

LOCATION: the island is very close to Singapore, so ideal for us for a short vacation. Big plus is the location in a secluded/sheltered area. We could see thunderstorms happening every night in the distance. NEVER touched our island! SERVICE: crew here is really good! Bri is the sweetest and uttermost patient dive instructor we have ever met. A real gem! Mal & crew had always smile on their faces when approached and were always willing to have a chat/help you out. This greatly helped the nice 'vibe' you could get there. The only thing I would say is that there is a lack of indication/lists for different activities/things to do on the island. That is: you need to ask and be specific; they answer all your questions, but you have to make sure to ask as much as possible as there could be 'missing parts' that you forget to mention and regret afterwards. FOOD: the BBQ night was great! The food on the other days was ok. This is a small island, so supply is not easy to get. Nonetheless maybe a little bit more of variety would make the dining experience even better.

When there is low tide, the beach is not perfect for swimming with small children since it is quite rocky due to the reef. If you have been to Tioman before, you should expect a bit less of marine wildlife...even if we had seen some small reef sharks from our hut directly hunting at the shore in the early morning.

Very nice location on a secluded beach. The huts and the common area are very comfy, all the staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is great, ferry transport well organized.

The resort would be better if the landscaping is maintained.

The food is very good. The location in a private bay is well sheltered from the weather. The view is great. In addition to the helpful and ever smiling staff gave the stay a home feel warmth.

This is not as much criticism as stating a simple fact: you stay in very simple wooden huts (fortunately with a mosquito net) close to a jungle, so you need to be ready for insects of all kinds (mostly ants and mosquitos). The hut does have a good ceiling fan to keep you cool at night, but it obviously doesn't provide 5-star comfort. A little "survivor" style holiday never hurts, though :)

An amazing place where you feel far from civilization and you can easily forget about the rest of the world. The site offers simple wooden huts right at the beach with great snorkeling opportunities basically 20 meters from your door. Plenty of colorful fish, sting rays and sometimes even small reef sharks can be observed. The staff is amazing, friendly and always ready to make you feel at home. Great food is always on the menu.

We did a snorkeling trip one day and while the kids were playing at the beach of an island, the adults were able to snorkel. In general the trip was nice, but the snorkel spot was not really worth it. Next time i would make sure with the instructor first, if the spot we are heading to is really a nice one.

The staff was super nice, always comforting. We have been there with two toddlers, 2 and 3 years old, and felt perfectly safe and had a very relaxed three nights vacation. The kids enjoyed the white sanded beach, the kids menu and the super relaxed atmosphere. There is a box with toys at the coffee/lounge/bar area, so the mums were able to enjoy the sunset with a drink, while the kids were perfectly happy playing with the toys. The chalets are basic, but clean and you can hear the ocean at night (and the view in the morning is stunning).
