Personally, I would not rate this place as a 5-star hotel, compared to other visited places in SE Asia. It is a small unit with rather small rooms, located within a residential complex above a shopping mall, with communal facilities - so e.g. the gym is not what you would expect when booking a 5-star hotel.

Very clean room and bathroom, new furniture, comfortable bed, good central location, lots of dining options available nearby, airco, and very friendly and attentive staff.

The room are unexpectedly clean and was a 11/10. Had a great stay over the weekend with my friends. Both room booked and it's in clean condition. Toilet is superb with both equipped shower and bathtub. The designs are unique and the staff are quite accommodating and friendly. It's worth it's value for such a short stay over at Ritz. Never a disappointing stay.

Nothing too drastic. Perhaps I am used to having a wash basin around the toilet but it was at the opposite end of the room near the shower, and there were no towel rests in the bathroom so it got a bit complicated positioning the towel but all in all, it’s not something that would lose a star over.

The Loft was located at the Imago Shopping Mall which had everything I needed when I looked for sunblock and insect repellents for my tours. The staff were super friendly. I checked in extra late (My flight arrived at 1:20 AM) but they waited for me so that I could check in. I asked for recommendations for massages and they continuously helped me through WhatsApp. The place was very nice, my only regret is that I packed my schedule too much that I didn’t get to sleep in longer! It’s a vacation on itself just to stay there. As for late night food or snacks, a restaurant which was located at the front of the Loft was open 24/7 so getting hungry at night was not a problem. The room looked exactly like the photos here.

The location is not in the middle of the centre of KK, we knew this upfront so for us this was no problem.

The location, the room and all the stuff available were amazing. We got an upgrade for free so we even had a bathtub. Amazing.

The only thing I would say is that the pools are for all the residents of the apartment block and there are no sunbeds to lounge on.

Wow, where to start. This place was fabulous! The room was so luxurious, it was beautifully decorated and gorgeously furnished. The bed was quite possibly the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The bathroom was stunning with a small bath and a rain shower. Further, this has all the mod-cons you can hope for. Dyson hair dryer, a power bank to take out whilst exploring, USB charging ports on each socket, digital mirrors, electric blinds, and that’s just some of what’s available! The designers and planners have thought of everything; they provide two litre water bottles in the rooms and even have Biscoff biscuits in the tea/coffee set! The staff were helpful and quickly checked me in. I asked for a pool towel and they gave me two for my comfort. The communication from management and staff was excellent, providing precise details on where to get a taxi to and where to go on arrival to get to the apartment.

During the day, it can get a bit noisey with the aeroplace and traffic. The walls are thin, and you can hear the people next door, especially if they are with roudy kids that sleep late into the night. There are many steps into the room - perhaps not best for people with wheelchair / with elderly requiring stepping in and out of room / toilet.

Staff, Location, Cleanliness, Comfort - Excellent. The staff were accommodating and responded very fast. The place was in the same building as Imago, however, you use a different lift to enter. Not a big deal because it is very near and convinient. Cleanliness of the space was very good. Everything is new and clean. Comfort - Bed was squeeky but comfortable. Food - Lots of restaurants within Imago, but the building next door also offer budget local food.

I booked this hotel for a short staycation and was pleasantly surprised by the quality that exceeded my expectations. There weren’t any gyms in the building and it can get a bit noisy outside from the airplane noises (and possibly traffic). The room itself can be small for two people, especially if both people are shopaholics.

Due to its location, it was very easy to do lots of shopping. The room is very clean and comfortable. I like that a they provided a good hairdryer for us to use and we can iron our clothes. The toilet is nice and spacious.

Lovely property! Really comfortable beds and great amenities in the room. The decor is lovely. Nice big bath tub and shower. Two pools, a gym and a massive open space with benches and hammocks to enjoy. Very clean. Love the fridge which has free soft drinks and water for guests. Everything you need is available. The staff are really friendly and helpful and are always available by WhatsApp. Perfect location too in the Imago mall where there are tons of nice restaurants and lots of shops. Quiet and peaceful once inside. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Kota Kinabalu and this is by far the best!

Walking to the downtown area was a little bit sketchy but still navigable. Most people just get a grab car which are really inexpensive. Also the entrance to the property was a little confusing and not very attractive but the room was top notch.

Very clean and new. Comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Convenient access to the Imago Mall where you can get anything you want or need. Staff was very helpful. You can get many different types of food from fast food to good quality restaurants of numerous cuisines in the Mall and the KK Times Square area across the street.
