Location. This place is a good location to break the journey between KK and Sandakan (if not in a hurry). The room is comfy, good food, friendly staff & view.

Signposting to the reception is a little tricky. Restaurant is 8-minute (nice) walk from the overnight accommodation. Remote rural location, so don't expect exciting evening entertainment.

Beautiful location with lovely views over surrounding tea fields against a backdrop of Mount Kilabalu. We stayed in a cosy cottage - the longhouse was a bit of a challenge for our spoiled old bones! Very reasonable price. Nice dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Lovely gifts in the shop. Wonderfully cooler and less humid than lowland Sabah.

Bathroom is too faraway from the room. The room also shakes when people walk on the bamboo floor. I was disappointed no WiFi in the room.

the restaurant was not great and breakfast didn’t start until 8am which is late for those staying in the longhouse- the rooster wakes you up very early. it would be good even to have self serve tea/coffee available before 8am

the light in the longhouse was on all night which was good for those who needed to use the bathroom, but not great for sleeping.

it was extremely authentic! sleeping in a longhouse is an experience I won’t forget. the views from the restaurant of Mount Kinabalu in the morning were exceptional!

❌ There are dogs infront of our cottage entrance door. We couldn't get to seat outside and enjoy the night. We are scared of dogs. ❌ The place is far from shop, restaurant....etc ❌ There are so many ants in the toilet...especially ath the sink...not sure where they're coming from. Could be from the pipeline.

A very comfortable place to stay, clean with a very comfortable bed. The water heater works well too.

Somehow the food there is below my expectation. The taste of the food is bland and tasteless hence need improvement.

The accommodation (cottage) is a bit „in the years“, not very inviting and there were some (not many) insects. If you wanna stay there a night for the tea and the landscape it is fine. However, I would not recommend it as a location to relax. There is no wifi in the room. The price at the counter was higher then via booking, it makes sense to double-check.

The staff at the restaurant and the manager were really friendly (not the official reception of the cottages). They even drove us to the bus station which would be quite far to walk (especially with luggage and in the humid heat). They gave us contradicting information about the bus schedule, so check with the manager. The food and the tea were both really nice!

There were no cafe facilities or even basic snack or drink facilities by long house and chalets. Had to go to Sabah tea house restaurant and pay tourist prices every time.

We loved the basic living of the longhouse. Room was as expected with the added benefit of a small sink. Toilets and shower facilities were excellent and clean. Small childrens playground, plenty of room to run around.

The restaurant food was average. Would have liked better signage around the property and information about the factory tour and any other activities which may have been available.

Location, views of Mount Kinabalu were outstanding. Facilities were beautifully maintained, staff were friendly and helpful. They are working hard to welcome tourists back.
