The fitted sheets were a bit to small for the mattress and jumped of the corners.

Location is very close to the Discovery Park. Meals area and meals are simple but nice and it feels friendly with a nice relaxed, casual atmosphere. Good value for money.

Breakfast was not that rich, I recommend going there early so you find everything

Very nice and kind staff. You get drinking water as much as you want, even though the flavor of the water was like drinking plastic. Rooms are comfy big and clean enough. The shower is not hot but not crazy cold. We just spent one night here and it was the perfect location for the Orangutan century and the walk along the rainforest. Dinner was also very good! Overall we were happy to stay here, it is a very strategic place!

Breakfast not replenished so I get up later there is not much left. Very hard bed/mattress and small pillow - I struggled to sleep.

It’s fairly basic but this is what I expected. It’s simple but seemed reasonably clean. Staff helpful and friendly. 20min walk to orangutan sanctuary and 5 min walk to rainforest discovery centre. Aircon worked well. Drinking water available. Shower ok for me - low pressure but fine and hot water available. Overall I would stay again. Food available which was ok and reasonable priced. Another restaurant available a few min walk if needed.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Sepilok B&B and would recommend to others.

The only criticisms I have are about the bunk beds, they were quite flimsy and seemed close to collapsing. Also the bedding provided on the top bunk was pretty meagre with only a very think blanket provided (which meant my son was cold in the air-conditioning).

We stayed in the "Hornbill" lodge. The room was well equipped for our family of four. With two kids aged 10 & 12 years old, it was great to have bunk beds for them & a king bed for my husband and I. At previous hotels, we had been squeezing into 2 beds only a little bigger than a King single (and smaller than a double) so this sleeping arrangement felt luxurious to us. The room had a small balcony which overlooked large trees with lots of singing birds in the morning and evening. The excellent air-conditioning and ceiling fan ensured that our room was a refrigerated sanctuary to return to after spending the day in the thick humidity. The room also provided tea/coffee making facilities and soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The daily breakfast was a good mix of western and Malay/Asian cuisine. Filtered water was provided 24/7 which was very handy (besides it being room temperature AKA warm). The location of the B&B meant there were limited options for eating lunch and dinner so we ate at the B&B restaurant. It provided affordable Malay/Asian meals that were quite delicious. I wouldn't order the Western meals as they were more expensive than the Malay options. If you were staying longer than a couple of nights, I would look for other dining options because I can see how you would quickly tire of the restaurant's menu options. A big hit with the kids was the dart board in the dining area, that kept them entertained for many hours. The B&B is within walking distance of the Orangutan & Sun bear centres but be warned, walking there on a hot day will mean you are drenched in sweat by the time you get there. We walked there in the morning but caught a Grab ride on the way back. One driver actually stopped near us whilst we were walking to give us his personal business card.

The shower wasn't good in our first room (but we returned to the same hotel later in our trip and the shower in the next room was fine). The restaurant hours are quite short - breakfast is finished by 9am, lunch is 11-1 and dinner 6-8. Slightly extended food serving hours would be good (especially for breakfast and lunch).

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was spacious and the aircon was great. The location is really good- it's just 5 minutes away from the Rainforest Discovery Centre and about 20 minute walk to the sun bear and orangutan sanctuaries. The restaurant was nice and had a good selection of food. Breakfast was nice- a variety of Asian food, pancakes, bananas, cereal and your choice of eggs. As well as tea, coffee and juice

The bedding was quite tired and beds not so comfortable... thankfully we had a room with 4 beds so could choose the best.

Great location very close to the Rainforest discovery centre and the Urangutan and sun bear rehabilitation centre not too far away either. It was basic but clean. Nice to be able to order food for lunch and dinner. We were helped to book a night walk and also transport which was great.

We had some issues checking in and whilst they did compensate us with a free dinner, we couldn’t check in for 5 hours. Stella seemed completely unbothered about the impact on us, then for dinner we had to ask Stella for some of our items 3 times. She again seemed unbothered with forgetting one of our group’s dinners and others sides. Room wise - there were no mosquito nets in the kitchen area in our room so we had to keep our bedroom doors closed constantly and we couldn’t sit in the lounge without being bitten alive.

Great location Restaurant on site Ida and a male member of staff (lester perhaps) were lovely and couldn’t be more helpful

The hard bed and the food - but we weren't here for a gourmet experience.

It’s hard to review this one. The staff were really helpful and friendly and tried to do everything they could to assist when requested. The accommodation being in a rainforest itself meat that there was abundant bird and mammal life, and it did have a relaxing atmosphere. However, the rooms felt like they could do with an injection of funds to give them a bit of a lift (we were in the least expensive room, though still pretty expensive for what it was). The mattress was on the hard side though we still slept well - probably because we were so tired from each day's activities. It felt a little old and some items could do with a refresh, but it was clean enough. The breakfast left much to be desired though and what extras purchased were expensive and just OK. The location was very close to the rainforest discovery centre and about a 25 to 30 min walk to the orangutan conservation centre. If you’re not overly fussy, a one to two night stay here would be fine.

The proximity to the RDC is perfect. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They offer a good selection of meals for lunch and dinner. This is the second time I've stayed here and although certainly not luxurious, it's a great option for a budget stay in Sepilok.

What let it down a bit was the food and its availability. If they had groups in our food was delayed. They ran out of selections. My food came out so early once I finished before my husbands came out. Breakfast options were minimal, cold and not very nice. But there was no where else nearby. But that was the only thing really

We had a huge family room that was such a treat so we could really unpack and spread out. Our own veranda was lovely and we could just sit back and listen to the forest sounds. Great location within walking distance of sepilok and jungle discovery place. They were happy to organise taxis. Friendly staff.

Real jungle experience near the Forest reserve

Well, you stay in the jungle, so insects are inevitable. Also, I was assured there would be gluten from optionsfor breakfast and in reality, it wasn't really the case.

The location was excellent. It is a 20 minute walk (or a short drive) to the Orangutan and the Sunbears sanctuaries but it is just a short stroll to the Forest reserve. And while you only go once to the sanctuaries, you do go repeatedly to the Forest reserve in different day times. Their night walk is something not to miss, and a day trip and one (or more) of the hikes is a real jungle experience. The whole area js beautiful, mature trees, it lies in the heart of jungle. We had a family cottage, very spacious, comfortable. Two sinks, so very practical for a family. Ample parking under a tree. You can pay by credit card. The breakfast is decent, they serve lovely coconut jam.

A great value. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The room has A/C but we were thrilled that it wasn't too hot for us to sleep with the windows open and fan on instead, enjoying the symphony of nature outside From dinner we most liked the vegetables curry and the pandan tea. Breakfast was also good. I recommend this place for the budget traveler. The people staying here seemed cool too

Facility seems a bit run down. Metal construction material was stored in front of our parking area, both unattractive and potentially dangerous. Sheets/comforters worn and stained. Pillow lumpy. Breakfast was just adequate.

Even though there are mosquito nets on every window, lizards and small insects can still get in.. Sleeping with them was a bit out of our comfort zone, but at the end of the day you are in the middle of the jungle. :)
