Only minor point was that we found the pillows hard and uncomfortable, but that’s personal choice.

Lovely little lodges set around a small resort, very peaceful just sit on your balcony and enjoy the rain forest. Easy walk to orangutan and sun bear sanctuaries. Short cab ride to Labuk Bay and rainforest discovery centre. The food was excellent, basic breakfast but everything you could want. Lunch and dinner very good, very tasty food and we found all the staff cheerful, friendly and helpful. Loved the plunge pool

Chairs on the balcony had some sort of grease on the arms and it left black marks on my clothes and arms. Balcony doors only have handles on one side of the door. Same options for breakfast everyday. My room was further away from the main area, which I didn’t mind, but the path wasn’t particularly well lit at night. Wifi only in public areas.

The staff were lovely and helpful. They arranged tours for me really quickly. The restaurant was nice and you could see a lot of wildlife from there. There are was a lot of wildlife in the area. Main restaurant area had games/activities.

Forest walk should have closed trails repaired and opened.

Meals out on covered deck, good for watching for nature. As a bird-watcher, the grounds were very good in the morning, as was the short Forest walk. Room was small, but had a nice view and the air-conditioning system worked well.

Our room had a very quirky bathroom. We made it work, but normal fixtures would be helpful. Our chalet also functioned with wooden bolts for the doors and only 1 key to the padlock. This can create issues if 2 people are doing different things (like 1 person goes out and 1 person wants a nap.) The dining area could use a few more fans - not all tables are equivalently cooled. Wifi only in the dining area.

Staff were really helpful arranging transportation at no additional cost and provide good information. Food was expensive but very tasty. Walkable to sun bear and orangutan centres. Good AC in the rooms. Free water bottle refills.

Pool was full of bugs. The chalets could do with an update and try and block up some of the gaps in the wood. Outside shower crawling with ants so unable to use

Staff were amazing. Location was great.

These are suggestions for improvement rather than dislikes. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. However, I didn't like the climb uphill to my chalet. I wasn't expecting it, but it was manageable. I also found taking off and putting on shoes to go to the restaurant a bit tiresome. Also, I would suggest that they label the switches in the room for easy identification. I had a hard time trying to figure out what switch to operate for various things in the room.

I really enjoyed my stay at Sepilok Forest Edge Resort. Check-in was quick and easy. They have baggage delivery service, which was great. The food was delicious 😋. And the staff were all very friendly and helpful. My room was very clean. And the bed is very comfortable.

No WiFi in the rooms, but not a big deal.

Beautiful resort, clean rooms. Surrounded by nature and really nicely done; friendly cat and dogs on the property and short 15 min walk to the orangutan centre which was our main reason for visiting. I really liked that the villas were set apart from each other and we had a lovely terrace. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the food was good.

Breakfast was below expectations. Of course we didn't expect a huge buffet like in a big hotel, but it would be nice if there were at least some local breakfast options like soup or pasta and not just toast and sausages.... Not much choice of local dishes, the food is too adapted to the western traveler (burgers, pizza etc). The bed in the kids room was not comfortable.

Spacious family cottage, very friendly staff

No negatives. A fridge in the room would be nice but it is the jungle. Rooms are basic but perfectly adequate.

Well located for seeing the sights in the area. Comfortable room, excellent air conditioning. Well maintained and very clean. Plunge pool a nice option and lovely walk round the grounds to see wildlife. Lovely terrace by the restaurant to relax with a drink. Attentive staff. Based on location reasonable selection of food and price is reasonable Drinks a little expensive compared to other places in the area. Breakfast included is quite basic but can ask for any style of eggs which is nice addition. Do take bug spray.

Beds and pillows were a bit hard for our liking, but this is a personal preference.

The location is great, only a short walk from the Orangutang & Sun Bear centres, and a walkable distance from the Rainforest Discovery Centre. Staff were very helpful and arranged an early packed breakfast for us as we had an early flight to catch.

the room could of done with a little bit of updating. it was clean and tidy however was starting to show its age.

Fantastic location for the orangutan sanctuary and the Sun Bear. Literally 700m down the lane, turned left and the sanctuary’s are there. Labuk bay was half hour drive away which the hotel organised and was great to see the proboscis monkeys.
