The guesthouse is close to the river and bridge, and a couple of night pubs. It's interesting that at the entrance of the lane, there is a diner which provides breakfast in the morning and turns to be a pub in the evening. The staff is helpful. However, they might not be in the guesthouse for the whole day in the low season, so you might need to wait for them to show up to help you check in. The furnishings are nice with many mirrors which girls may like. The living room on the second floor is good to have a rest if it's not too hot. Ahhh, you have to take off your shoes when you enter the house, which might be a custom in Southeast Asia, but not enjoyable for me. Malacca is good to let yourself escape from those annoying things in life. However, when it rains heavily, you'll be bothered from sleep.

1. The staff is not at front desk all the time. Would be better to inform guests beforehand how to proceed check in or how to contact staff to assist. 2. Some beds don't have curtain

Staff wasn’t around. AC not working in shared living room. This room has big windows to the river and if AC worked it would be perfect.

Perfect location. River front with a porch where you can stay. Walking distance of all Malaca central places. The street where it is located has nice bars and restaurants. The WiFi worked very well.

Generally not clean, even if shoes are not allowed inside, the floor is dusty everywhere. The place need maintenance, there are little things here and there that need to get fix and clean profoundly. Showers without curtains, water everywhere in the bathroom. Common bathroom in the second floor is very dirty!! In the room I stayed there is a big problem with humidity in the wall and two beds are right there, it is not good for health to breath that humidity.

Location is excellent! Common areas are nice to hang around. Beds are decent and clean. I like the carpets in the floor, it makes it cosy.

No toilet paper was provided. I believe they expect everyone to just use water to clean. I suggest to the guesthouse to provide toulet paper. Everything else was perfect.

The place is very nice and quiet. Very well located in a calm street that at night has a lovely vibe. There are many places where to eat, have coffee or drink. The bed was comfortable.

The location was good, we liked it was a little out of the way in the hope it would be quiet. We were in an 8 bed dorm and had the entire room to ourselves. The room was clean and they supplied towels and bedding. The air con was good and the WiFi worked. There is a lovely communal area upstairs.

The room has no windows, there are watermarks on the walls, no pillowcases, the air conditioner is not cold and there is no remote control. It feels hot until midnight when sleeping, and the sound insulation is not good. There are people chatting loudly in the next room around 2am, which makes it impossible to fall asleep. You can tell the tenant to be quiet after midnight.

The location is super convenient, close to nearby attractions and cheap. Providing shared space is also comfortable.

They charged us 15 RM to check in an hour early when we arrived. The room was ready and empty so didn’t feel this was justified. The outside patio often had a full ashtray that could have been emptied as there was nobody using it when we were there. These at very small things that shouldn’t deter anyone from staying here, just niggles.

We loved the location on the river and near lots of eateries. The staff were friendly and responded when asked. We had the en suite queen room which suited our needs perfectly. The kitchen and communal areas we of good size and well decorated.

Over the weekend there was nobody in the reception, we were pretty much on our own the whole time so if you needed something you have to figured it out by yourself.

The room needs a renovation. The aircon is hard to handle due to a slightly working remote. A shower curtain is missing at all.

The place is good located near to the main attractions (red Square, Jonker). It's located next to the river and although it's near the center its quiet and calm.

The staff are super friendly and welcoming, they recommended me places to eat at and visit. Also, the design of the place is like the photos and is super cute and relaxing and the location is phenomenal, right at the heat of malacca.

Receptionist was nice, location is fantastic, Right beside the river and there is bars and cafe at night. Morning has nice panmee and good roti kopitiam nearby. For me is like hidden gem in Melaka. I like the comman area too!

Receptionist was most of the time not there; had to ask for basic amenities such as toilet paper and waited roughly 20 mins for check-in because he was not there. Doors to the house are never closed, so anyone can enter. Bunk beds looked like they could need some love (new curtains for example). Never saw anyone cleaning. Also, prepare for noise and rough sleep: it's very noisy at night (don't go on a weekend)

The common areas are super beautiful and the view on the river magic. There are games available to play, the location is fantastic and all in all the style very nice. For the price definitely a good option.

It could have been better if they have a water dispenser. However, all is well.

The location was strategic as it's close to so many places such as the famous Cendol Kampung Hulu. Kampung Morten is about 10 minutes walk and Jonker Street is about 5-7 minutes walk alongside the Malacca river. It's walkable to the tourist attractions in the area. It also has a great view at night with all the lights along the river and on the bridge. We had a great stay.

Not a super negative - but we didn’t see any staff around except when we checked in. Would have been nice to be able to ask for tips or have some interaction, but otherwise would recommend.

Owner was responsive and friendly. Bed, room and common space are clean. Each dorm room has its own ensuite bathroom so it was really great! No problem on water pressure and temperature. It's a beautiful space and good spot to explore this part of Melaka. Lots of food options and close to Jonker St. For locker (quite big), bring own padlock if you want to secure belongings.
