May have been renovating when we were there, the place looked unfinished. Kitchen was non-existant, no forks, no fridge nothing to cook on. There was a sink that wasnt plummed in so there was no where to wash tea/coffee cups. No real common area just a small corridor where a kitchen could be. Shared bathroom dirty and the walls between rooms are very thin, a few guests were very loud around 3am in the morning.

Room was big enough, location pretty quiet and close to some food options although around 10-15 minutes walk to the bridge/main part of town. There is a nice lake nearby, with a good running walking track around it.

What was really annoying it is AC after start. Room has thin outside wall and when compressor just started working, it's resonate a lot of low frequency noise that head was going mad. Maybe we were so unlucky and it was only with our AC, but it was. Fortunately it stopping after 20 minutes when room getting cold enough it AC decrease RPM of compressor.

General, it's the best offer for this price with such location. We were prepared that it's not so comfy as we used to, but diffidently is relevant for this price. Bed and wi-fi was good, room was clean with full set of towels. Also here you can use common kitchen with fridge, kettle and microwave oven.

Self-checked in due to a delay in my arrival time. The instructions provided by Ms Adelyn (Thank you!) for check-in were clear and easy to understand. There's a letter box at the counter to drop the key for self check-out. Rooms were lovely and clean. The theme of the rooms and layout was pleasant. The desk in my room was well placed to the wall sockets and good for my laptop work. There was no cupboard for clothes but a clothes rack, which was just fine. Warm yellow lighting in the room was gentle on the eyes. There were bottles of water for purchase at the counter, and contacts for services like bicycle rental, car rental, and tours. It was nice and quiet. There was a dining table area to eat your food if you packed any (though according to a notice, loitering was not allowed during the pandemic), and some books and flyers to browse. The place is on the upper floors of shophouses with no lifts, so caution is needed on the flights of stairs if bringing lots of heavy luggage.

I think as for Muslim, the room is not so Muslim friendly. It is because the space is quite small and limited. During our stay, we need to perform solat on the bed which is not so convenient for us.

The room is so clean and comfortable. I like the decoration. Besides that, the process to check in and check out is so easy. There is no need to wait for the staff to assist us. The staff just assist through Whatsapp on how to check in and we can leave our room key in the space provided which is I think so convenient for us.

NOISY, ultra noisy, it's sitting on top of a karaoke bar ,so loud music till 2. The room is in very poor condition and somewhere in the middle of the stairs there was a giant wasp nest, in the night they all were coming out. I would never rebook it again
