I stayed here in the week, and it was really quiet. However it did get a lot louder on the Friday night - lots of bass-y music from the nearby clubs. I managed to drift off with some good earplugs, but it might be a problem for some.

For the price, this place was perfect. It made a really good base - the location is really good, everything walkable. There's a shop where you can buy water right next door. The rooms are a really good size with decent aircon, and the bed was really comfortable. The lighting and tiled floor does make it feel a bit like a very large prison cell haha, and it could be a bit more furnished, but for me it was ideal. The lady at reception was also really friendly and helpful - helped me out with getting buses and even let me borrow a sewing kit! Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Our only thing was that across the street on two separate nights of our stay the music was really loud.

We loved our stay at the property. The hosts were very nice and helpful and likewise with the receptionist. She helped us to book activities and advised us on the best ways to get there (that we wouldn’t have been able to figure out otherwise). Our room was really large which was great for us to unload our bags. The bathrooms were always clean 😊

Very simple but clean and spacious room. Air-conditioning working good. Great location close to good restaurants and within 5 minutes walking distance to the waterfront.

Can be better - eg water cooler at the rooms level, the main door access to the level 2 is not working, kind of dangerous as anyone can reach our room door step, and we need to exit our room for toilets. I informed the operator, but nothing done for 4 nights stay.

Located close to good restaurants and the waterfront close to the government building. Downtown easily accessed and busstop to Bako and elsewhere is close. Bed and facilities are basic but everything works, AC, hot water, etc.

The staff here are so wonderful and accommodating!! I had a conflict where I was leaving super early for a long hike the day I was supposed to check out and wouldn’t be back until the afternoon, and they were so kind- they let me keep my stuff in my room until I was back and shower before I left :,) one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in since I’ve been living in Malaysia! Also very clean and a good location.

Stayed in two rooms (two separate bookings). Both were comfortable, cool (good AC), simple, clean. Bathroom with two showers for four guests, never a line, easy to dry clothes on patio after hiking. Reception is very kind, 24 hour access. Great location near the water, bars, good restaurants, proximal to one of the better food courts in Kuching (top spot, 10 minutes). Overall a wonderful choice!

Bit of music noise from local bars but would be same for all hotels in green hills area.

The location is excellent close to all amenities. Good food all around. 711 close. We had large but basic room. Kitchen facilities available. Shared toilets/showers. Everything is very clean and tidy and lady very friendly

The rooms were a bit cold even with the AC off.

The lady at the reception was very warm and welcoming. She even recommended a few places to visit at the museum. She kept our luggage as we waited for our pick up time. The location was great and surrounded by all the social amenities.

Smooth self check-in. A good place for some days but very noisy on weekends because of the bars/clubs nearby. The room is comfy ans spacious but also very basic. Not a social place and also nobody around to give you tips. Nevertheless they were quite fast in replying messages.

It can get loud on weekends cause of the clubs across the street. Our window didn’t close and didn’t have a handle to pull or lock. There were many pieces of paper on the walls with rules and threats of fines (not switching the bathroom lights off, not keeping you room clean,etc) but absolutely nothing about Kuching or Borneo sites or attractions. Just seemed very inhospitable.

Everything seemed new and the location was good. Wifi was decent. We felt a little unwelcome. No reply to a good morning and overall just being ignored by the staff. We stayed a week, never had our room cleaned, we had to supply our own trash bags. There is a kettle for common use but zero other things to implement it: no cups, no spoons, no forks, no chopsticks.
