the overall property was beautiful. It was very relaxing and really allowed you to immerse in nature, which is what the highlands is all about. The staff were brilliant, JA was amazing. He drove us everywhere we wanted to go and shared about life in Malaysia with us. Staff were extremely accommodating and attentive. The tent was clean, wifi was excellent and the kitchen area was well stocked

I was disappointed with the location due to its position atop a steep hill, requiring a strenuous hike to reach the campsite. The restroom facilities were cramped, lacking sufficient space to store personal belongings. Moreover, the structure was constructed with zinc roofing, and several showers were out of order, leaving campers to resort to using a bidet or bucket for bathing. Unpleasant odors permeated the area, possibly stemming from a leaking pipe. Clearly, there is room for significant improvement in these aspects.

I enjoy this location because it’s conveniently close to the road, eliminating the need for a long trek into the wilderness for a camping adventure. The amenities include a shared pantry and restroom, both sufficiently comfortable for use. The campsite is situated atop a sturdy concrete platform with a roof, ensuring peace of mind during rainy weather. Additionally, electricity is available, providing amenities such as a fan, lighting, and a television with access to Netflix in your campsite. The place is also calm and beautiful with a mini vegetable farm and landscaping.

It was a bit outside of the village center, but you can walk (20min), take a grab or rent a scooter at the property.

We didn't expect this glamping to be this amazing! It exceeded our expectations. The tent was very roomy, the matresses are a bit thin but comfortable enough, there was a fan in the room, loads of fairylights (in and outside of the tent) and you have a private bathroom. The kitchen(s) have icy cold and hot drinking water, and are well equipped. We loved our stay at the Backyard Glamping and would highly recommend to stay there.

Super nice spot to have a different experience in Cameron Highlands. I enjoyed my tent and a BBQ in the garden. The motorbike I rentes brought me to the nice tea fields, 30-40 min from there.

Nice and cozy environment,beautiful view,clean suitable for healing healing from stress..friendly staffs and respond very promptly when requested for something e.g to check the hot water system. It can be warm in day time and can be very cold at night but overall we are enjoying the stay

One of the bed kinda too soft in my tent and feel a bit unsupported on our back. Some of the bathroom didn't have hot water or having some problem on the water heater system. Luckily somehow still works. So kinda small problem.

All the facilities including kitchen, bathroom and the tent are kinda great. The kitchen side and campfire kinda higher then expected. The best part is the tv set really unexpectedly comes with netflix and it's working, we able to watch movie series for awhile as outside tent have so much fun also.

Nothing. Area of improvement for the uphill one could be steep and >300mm step riser is not something for everyone. However after seeing downhill ones, its perfect for everyone. Happy!

Backyard Glamping is a hidden gem just outside Tanah Rata. If you’re into lush gardens, Mountain View’s and super great tents, this is it. The staff and the family are so sweet and arrange really great guided tours by guides who knows their stuff and go out of the way to make it a great experience. It was a wonderful little break from the heat in the lowlands and so nice to stay in natural garden. Would go there again!

We especially liked the atmosphere. It was so peaceful and calm and very beautiful surroundings with flowers everywhere. Jamizal was extremely helpful and very informative. We could easily have spent more nights here

Not to state the obvious, but when it rains, it does get muddy.

The tents were very spacious with some nice touches like fairy lights and mats. The tent is housed on a large deck that is fully covered. So you’re well protected from the weather. The site is set in a very tranquil space, and everyone was very considerate of each other, making it very relaxing.

I could not access the hot water despite trying different showers, however, the cold shower was quite the treat. Refreshing and fired up the norepinephrine neurotransmitter [natural antidepressants ;)]

This place exceeded my expectations. The land has been spectacularly crafted a paradise of fairy lights and nature that will make you wish you stayed longer. The exceptionally friendly staff will go out of their way to ensure your comfort, safety and enjoyment and certainly earn more credit then they might receive. Facilities are always clean and well kept. Tent was comfortable and cosy. Options to order raw food from staff to cook at the group or tent campfire or kitchen.
