How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bathroom is constructed with raw concrete, which I thought looked disgusting. Location is severely lacking. The same hostel in another neighborhood would be a 10/10.
Quiet rooms, good AC, comfortable beds, outstanding service. Incredibly friendly and thoughtful.

Aircon is usually on and it’s quite cold inside the rooms, but it’s something common in Southeast Asia.
The manager is very kind and helpful. There’s some workspace and showers were fine as well. I liked the location - close to many food options, Bukit Bintang MRT, and so on. Yes, the surroundings look dodgy and dirty, but I felt completely safe. There’s a good lock system, either in the rooms and at the entrance.

The host is amazing! He is extra helpful and very welcoming. The hostel is split over 2 floors and it's esay to meet people in the common area. The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable, every bed has a locker. The bathrooms are also very clean. It's a brand new place and I can recommend everyone to stay here! It was great! There is a food court just outside and a 7/11 just behind.

Bathroom is raw concrete, hard to clean properly and doesn't look great.
Beds were quiet, private, and comfortable. Highly professional, kind and caring manager. Excellent service.

The outside of the hostel is not clean, near a market or food court or something like that, but it has no effect too much for my experience.
Everything is good in a cheap hostel.

Room was a bit small and didn’t have any window.

I think the hostel should improve more about the air vacum system which could help the inner air become cleaner
I love the way staff treat to me , he is so nice and gentle , room is quite clean and the facilities is more modern than i expected.

There needs to be lockers outside of the bed, not just the cupboard in the bed. It’s just awkward without them and makes long stays impossible. I had trouble with the hot water and those grey microfibres towels are not useful.
This is a very nice hostel for KL standards. It’s in a touristy area, close to many supermarkets and walking distance from the major shopping centres. The people staying here are nice and respectful and the guy managing the place is friendly. The place is kept quite clean. I slept pretty well here.

Rooms are a bit small. The hostel could be a little more social.
Great and very helpful owner. Everything's new clean and well kept. Beds are very comfy, late check-in without any problems.

Wish it was a little closer to a metro station.
Great staff, very kind, make you feel super welcome. Cleanly kept, close to a good cheap food court that even serves beer.

The room is very compact, so anything smell, everyone can smell too. If you are light sleeper and get the room near the common place, strongly recommended ear plug.
Very helpful & friendly host who always there to answer your inquiries either in person or by whatsapp. Very hospitable. Very clean and efficient. Complete facilities of washing machine, pantry, fridge.

I miss a big locker there my whole backpack would fit. However there’s fairly big locker in each bunk where you can easily fit all your valuables.
Very clean and nice hostel. It’s not a party hostel but it’s fairly social. The owner is very helpful and will gladly advise you with any problem or suggestion. Possibility of a towel, laundry and free coffee/tea as well as a box, where you can pick staff from other travelers or leave things you don’t longer need.

To get to the bathroom from the dorm you have to go thru the lounge.
The owner of the hostel went above and beyond to make the stay a pleasant one. Everything was clean and well looked after. The beds had curtains and were very comfortable. The location is good...a quick walk between two monorail stations and big shopping malls.

The only thing I didn’t like was right outside the hostel - it is a bit hard to find & the area is a bit sketchy with some trash & wierd smells. But you get used to it!
I really liked this place. I was planning to stay 3 nights but ended up staying 2 weeks! The owner is so amazing & friendly, one of the nicest people I’ve ever met honestly. He is always happy and will help you with anything. Beds are super comfy with a good curtain for privacy. It is very clean, the staff is always sweeping the floors & dusting etc. The shared showers are also good, clean & nice water pressure! And lastly, the location is very central in Bukit Bintang! Will be back if I am ever in KL again!

Only thing is it didn't have a sky pool like other hostels haha but this is not an issue they can fix
Excellent location in Bukit bintang near to train station and city center ( pavilion mall ) Very reasonable prices , comfy bed and clean. Friendly people

i stayed for 2 nights, the host is very friendly, very helpful. the place is very clean, have fridge & free flow coffee & tea. the bunk bed is very comfortable, & had private curtain n power plug. the pillow is very thin, but i messaged the host to request for another pillow. i had a good rest. the place also smells so good, even though situated besides a foodcourt. a perfect place if you want to explore bukit bintang & KL.

The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and you have huge lockers to store your stuff away. The staff was really helpful and always ready to help you with anything needed. I would definitely recommend staying here while in KL.
