Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaDepending on what’s going on in the common areas, it can be noisy until the other guests go to bed. Also, there were a couple of cats inside the hostel, sometimes lying right in front of my door or walking across the kitchen bench. Personally, I didn’t mind. But if you are not a fan of cats or worse, have an allergy, it is something to take into consideration.
Simple but fine. Entry door looks a bit dodgy, but I felt safe as a single female traveller. A good option if you want to stay near the airport on a budget. Located in an authentic neighbourhood away from tourist attractions/crowds. I ate very well - and several times because it was so tasty and so cheap - in a nearby restaurant named ‘Fatir Briyani House’, which the guy at reception recommended. (Bonus: They accept payment by credit card.) An efficient and reliable airport transfer was organised for me to catch an early flight for 25 MYR (5 MYR less than the going rate on Grab). All in all, a very satisfying experience.

United KingdomThe location is out of the main city of KL but a reasonably short walk up the road will take you to the Express Station that will get you into KL Sentral Shopping Mall / Travel Hub and the rest of the city is very accessible from there.
Location is very close to the airport, You can catch the KLIA Express by walking less than a Kilometer up the road that will take you to the station ( Better Idea if you are travelling Light). The staff ordered a taxi for me to get to the airport for an early flight - Do this quickly if you are in need -

AustraliaCleaning of room between guests is minimal - basically just changed the sheets, but no cleaning of floor or anything. Shared bathroom is fairly clean, though the toilet seat and floor was always wet, which is hard to get accustomed to. Have to pay tourist tax of 10myr on top of booking price. Staff did not arrive to the hostel until 2pm, so if you arrive earlier you will need to wait in the common area with your luggage. Reception did not have printing service for travel documents, which I thought was strange considering it is an airport hostel.
Nice little hostel in Sepang, convenient for airport stopover. Twin room is decent - small room, basically just bunk beds with a small table. Main thing is that there is a window, so you can get natural light. Aircon is good. Common area is okay, there is a kitchen with water and a couch. Great cheap restaurant on the same block (Fatir Briyani House) as well as small supermarket, bakery and 7-11. Further from the airport than it looks on the map and is about a 20 minute drive - but still only 30myr for Grab.

AustraliaNothing not to like here. Truly a good travelers hostel.
Very convenient for a stopover between flights. The train from KLIA stops at Salak Tinggi, and the hostel (yellow star on screenshot) is a 1km walk from the station The hostel is clean and the staff are friendly. Sturdy bunks with a security drawer underneath (byo padlock). A towel is provided upon request, so no need for a damp pack on your next flight! Good Indian food on a nearby corner for evening meal while the hostel kitchenette is perfect for a snack and a cuppa before your next flight. I will stop here again.

NetherlandsI did not liked the fact that the cats were peeing in the lobby and entered the dorms. Also the accomodation advertised with 'a lift' but you have to pay for the pick-up (what is okay ofcourse). With the drop-off we had to pay twice because we had to go to different terminals (which is not okay).
The staff was very friendly.

United KingdomThe damp smell in the property. My room was exactly opposite the toilet and I could smell the dampness in my room.
The host was very friendly and helpful. He drove me to Salak Tinggi station in the early morning. Location is around 10-15 mins walk from Salak Tinggi station which is 1 stop away from KLIA. Got aircon in the room

United KingdomBathroom was dirty and had scrubbing sponges in there which were mouldy. Some very noisy people stayed while we were there and were blow-drying their hair at 11pm right outside our door when we had to get up for an early flight. No effort was made to tell them to keep the noise down or consider other travellers. Grab was relatively expensive considering how close it was to the airport. Tea in the kitchen wasn't good/strong enough.
Bedroom pretty clean and had air-con which was great. Loved the cats 😺

MalaysiaSome guests after using the utensil never bother to wash left in the basin looks messy. The bed kind of shaky when inconsiderate guests climb up the upper bed while one sleep at bottom bed.
Transportation to the location by train(Klia Transit) within the airport from Klia2 just 2 stops and from Klia1 just 1 stop about RM5.00 only. upon reaching the Salak Tinggi station about 15 minutes walk straight will reach the hostel on right hand side. note the hostel entrance just beside a spectacle shop upstair. Do not expect 5 stars facility just 3 stars but very clean at this price range. This hostel having 2 cats around to play with it. Front desk normally available from 12pm to midnight. There are lot of eatery around the hostel, grocery store, self laundry shop and one ATM cash dispenser machine inside 7eleven. Occasionally there are local street food set up in the evening at one end of those shops. There is also bus reaching the place but am not elaborate as not quite clear to me.
