I stayed here for one night at the end of my trip. I chose a deluxe room as the standard/superior rooms looked small in the photos. However I didn't end up spending a lot of time in my room during my stay, and the hotel has a nice, quiet, airy lobby to hang out in that I don't think I needed the deluxe room. The hotel is in a heritage building. I was told the hotel opened 2 years ago, so everything still looks new. However I found the hotel to be more aesthetically pleasing than functional. There is a rooftop, but there is only minimal furnishings and no shades, so it doesn't seem to be used much (if at all). The deluxe room has some extra space, but oddly no folding luggage rack for convenience. There is a TV and couch, but the TV only has YouTube and the couch has thin cushions and uncomfortable. The bed for the deluxe room is upstairs in "loft" style, and there is no night stand or any space next to the bed (to put your phone down?). The light switch is also halfway down the stairs instead of anywhere close to the bed. Being a heritage building, there is only a small internal window, so there isn't much natural light in the room. If you have a really short stay in George Town and find a good deal at this hotel, I would recommend it for the location. The hotel is literally across the street from the 1st Avenue mall, and minutes from the tourist area. If you just want a comfortable bed to sleep in at night, this place maybe for you.

Room was small and not recommended for old folks as the room had a loft bed, which means... staircase! Other than that, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this place to those who likes exploring Penang on foot! :)

We like the strategic location of the hotel. Room was very comfortable and had the basic amenities required.. Staff were friendly.. As I landed at 11pm, the staff waited for me till 12mn to check in..

Stairs and corridor are made of wood and feel quite old. Bathroom was fine but shower area was small, and covered with curtains so it was easy for water to splash outside.

Simple but cozy place. Bed was extremely comfortable, and room was not noisy at all despite facing the street. Went out for a late night walk and it felt like a safe area. There's a convenience store nearby.

Clean. Has a water dispenser, common lounge area, roof area. Room wise, bed and pillow was very comfortable. Toilet - water pressure was good. Toothbrush provided but the soap and shampoo is those 2 in 1 kind. Towels provided. Wifi was good

obviously car park is an issue. we need to park at open private parking with pariing charges to be borne by guest. The parking should be included and complimentary from the hotel.

the noise from the nearby club abit disturbing

the staffs very friendly and super helpful.. was a nice stay. situated opposite of 1st avenue easy access to mall and f&b. however, the noise from the nearby club quite annoying. overall it’s highly recommended

The hotel is next to the main busy road. There's a club opposite the hotel. You can still hear the music from the club at 2am in the morning.

The staff was very helpful with the information given for the self check in. The room was basic but comfortable for staying.

Stairs no elevator The toilet has still some stains on seat cover and the bath mat wasn’t really cleaned

I found that there was only one dispenser at the shower room, so I had to run to the shopping mall to get a shampoo, conditioner, and face washing.

The location is very convenient. I could reach the bus station easily, and there are shopping malls and convenience store near the hotel. And I loved the big & comfortable bed at the upper floor.

There is nothing to complain about at this price point and it's definitely good value for money.

Highly recommended hotel with excellent room facilities and friendly staff, especially Kelvin, the manager. Location is within walking distance to many shopping centres, famous hawker food stalls and tourist spots.
