Location: Pretty much nothing else except other hotels, the beach & adventure park nearby. Food choices will be limited to within the hotel unless you are willing to travel out (though not much choices within 15minute drive too). Will have to point out that it is simply what Desaru Coast offers and not the fault of the hotel. Definitely a place to chill by the pool/beach and do nothing; not for people looking for activity packed days. Facilities: Hotel is undergoing renovation at the moment which we were informed of via email prior to arrival. No noise disturbance but the pool space is very limited for now. Hotel offers bike rental, has a small game room, 2 restaurants and a spa; which feels a little bare for a 5 star hotel (managed to finish exploring the entire hotel in less than 30minutes).

Room: Stayed in the suite which was located at the corner, very spacious, came equipped with 1.5 bathrooms and was very comfortable. Cleanliness level was there too. Staff: All the hotel staff we met were friendly and helpful. Shuttle Service: Free shuttle service between the ferry terminal and Adventure Waterpark (though do take note that it might not always be very punctual, so take into account additional travelling time). Location: Less than 2-3minutes walking distance to the beach.

The construction of the new pool and restaurant is still ongoing

The room is spacious and has a spectacular sea view. Staff was nice. Breakfast buffet spread was amazing. Our family enjoyed our stay.

Almost everything! Staff was super friendly and helpful, the facilities all were great. The buffet breakfast was amazing! So many choices and really yum! We were there for our 6th anniversary and I requested a simple deco and they surprised me with complimentary cakes and balloons. They didn't count on the amount of towels prepared in the room/beach/pool 👍🏻👍🏻 We requested mosquito repellent in the middle of night and the staff was more than helpful watching for my kids around the pool and help to pump my kids' float. 3d2n was not enough actually 😂

The air conditioning isn’t cold, and the soundproofing isn’t strong enough. I can hear a baby crying in the next room and sounds from housekeeping.

Ongoing renovations causing minimal daytime noise.

My stay at Westin Desaru was amazing! The room had a stunning ocean view and a spacious balcony. The beach was lovely and expansive. The staff were friendly and efficient during check-in and check-out. I accidentally left my laptop bag in the room, but they quickly found it and returned it to me. Plus, the breakfast service was awesome with a variety of delicious food options. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend Westin Desaru for a relaxing getaway with great service.

Nothing. All is good. I think maybe I could point out that our room has that damp carpet smell because my mom notices the stench.

Modern yet laidback. Staffs are very well trained. The bellboys try their hardest to please the clients. Housekeepers also worked their best and I am pleased by their service. Everyone is very friendly which made us feel welcomed.

1) There are still a constructions not complete. 2) Shower or pipe after beach should be more and with proper arragnement which not just pipe over there with no proper tile and walking area.

1) hotel is at a remote area, and it's better to drive your own car and move around 2) the wave is high and beach is kinda dusty, so don't expect to swim in the sea

I like everything about this hotel, location, breakfast, pool, close to beach. especially when my car battery is dead, staff help me to jump start my car, I really appreciate it

The Westin Desaru truly exceeded my expectations! From the moment we checked in, everything was top-notch. The rooms were impeccably clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. What stood out most, however, was the breakfast. The variety and quality of food available were superb, catering to all tastes and preferences. It's rare to find such a thoughtful and delicious spread. Can't wait to return!
