There was a discomforting trash smell from across the room's corridor which we weren't sure where it was from but apart from that, everything else was beyond amazing. Also, we hate that we only spent 2 nights here aha!

Thank you so much for the great experience, The Westin. Everything was great, attentive and accommodating staff, beautiful scenery, comfy and spacious room, clean environment, and breakfast spread was delish. We came here for our anniversary visit and to my surprise, the team was generous enough to spoil us with complimentary cake and small decorations on our second day stay. My husband and I enjoyed our moments here and we will surely come back again soon!

The weather is hot. Depended on taxi to go to places of interest and attractions. No convenience store and money changer nearby.

Westin Desaru is very cosy, spacious, beautiful, friendly, All the staff are obliging and give us guidance on options on the types of activities to go for. The bed very comfortable, the breakfast is fulfilling, the view is great. The people are wonderful. At Coral lounge you can play billiards, ping pong, caroom and kids can work out too. It is not peak season so the beach is peaceful. There is hourly shuttle bus to Anantara, Westin, Hard rock, Els ocean and Ferry terminal. Water park is next to Hardrock. There is another at Lotus Desaru water theme park. One must bring more ringgits so that you can enjoy all the wonderful sights. Good to book attractions in advance as some places requires at least 24 hours booking. Because of hot weather , it is advisable to bring hat, fan or umbrella and a pair of sandals as the sand is soft and fine. Mode of transport is via taxi to go to Fruit farm, Golf at Els club, SKS mall & wet market for shopping, Ostrich farm, crocodile farm, watch firefly by foot or by boat, Tanjung Balau Fishermen museum, boat rides, canoeing. As for seafood restaurant you need to find out from the front desk.

The games room and pool is open from 9am-7pm which I felt was a bummer because my friends and I wanted to play later in the night.

This resort is good for those who want to just stay in and relax. There are many facilities to occupy your time like a games room on the 6th floor (games like ping pong, jenga, pool, foosball, a kids corner, carrom), a small pool and a 24hr gym. There’s also a spa place to get massages and facials. A short walk from the resort is a private beach which is quite clean and not very crowded. You can also ask the concierge to help call for a buggy which can bring you to Hard Rock hotel, where you can also eat more food. There are shuttle bus services to areas like the desaru water park. Housekeeping comes everyday and they replace all the towel and change the sheets each time.

Room maintenance. Clothes stand was rusty and blinds were slightly torn. But not a very big deal.

The service is tip top and everyone was very welcoming. We loved hanging out at the beach, so beautiful. Loved the view!

How the hotel actually make the stay special by providing cake and deco for my birthday boy. The side activity during the afternoon is fun for my boy too like the terrarium. Food selection is great.

The crib was not adjustable and extremely bare with no other comforts.

The service and check-in was super easy and hassle-free. The rooms were not too far from the lifts and everything was spotless. Beds were incredibly comfy and it was spacious. Loved the bath tub and the little touches for example the bath salts, the little bottle of lavender oil.

Wish the distance between the resort and the beach can be more near to each another since there's a road in between. Usually beach front resort are much more convenient to access the beach.

Everything was perfect for a 5 star resort. Totally worth the money paid. Will be back.

The fan and air-conditioning system in the room. Me and my husband try to adjust the room temperature many times but failed, cannot feel the wind from the fan too. My baby boy woke up few times due to hot.

Only thing is that there were jellyfish in the water and there were people stung. It just soured the experience a bit of having a swim in the sea. And the prices of alcohol were just quite ridiculously expensive. I think RM 36 for a bottle of Tiger. That's even expensive for Europe.

Amazing. Everything really. Rooms were great, we had those facing the sea. Clean. Spacious. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. Beach was beautiful and clean.

The wooden chair in the room broke (wood was corroded) and the duty manager was supposed to get in touch with us but no one did.

We love that the beach is nearby.We love the vibes of the area.We love the breakfast.And we especially love,the huge bathtub!
